Copied!

Leave feedback on specific video frames — no more vague notes like "fix that part around 3 minutes." Video commenting lets you pinpoint exactly what you're talking about.

Adding a Comment

  1. Open a video in your workspace

  2. Press / to open the Comments sidebar

Your comment is now attached to that timestamp. Team members can click on it to jump directly to that frame.

Drawing on Frames

Need to highlight something specific? Draw directly on the frame:

  1. Open the Comments sidebar (/)

  2. Click Draw at the top of the sidebar

  3. Click on the video at the frame you want to annotate

  4. Circle, arrow, or mark up what you're referencing

  5. Add your text comment

  6. Post

The annotation stays attached to your comment so reviewers see exactly what you mean.

Clipping Videos

Eden lets you clip parts of videos and save them to your workspace — perfect for pulling clips from YouTube videos to include in your own content, or for passing specific sections to your editor.

To clip a video:

  1. Press E to enter Edit and Clip mode

  2. Select the portion of the video you want to clip

  3. Save the clip to your workspace

The clip is saved as a separate item you can organize, share, or add to a Canvas.

Searching Within Videos

Press Cmd/Ctrl + F to search within a video. This searches both:

  • Frames — Find visually similar moments

  • Transcript — Find when specific words were spoken

Viewing Comments

Press / to open the Comments sidebar. Each comment shows:

  • The timestamp it's attached to

  • Who posted it

  • When it was posted

  • Any annotations or drawings

Click any comment to jump directly to that frame.

Use Cases

Giving feedback to an editor

Instead of writing "the transition at the beginning is too fast," click on the exact frame and say "start the transition here instead."

Pulling clips from research

Watching a YouTube video for research? Press E to clip the best parts and save them directly to your workspace for later use.

Collaborating on rough cuts

Team members can leave timestamped notes throughout a video, creating a clear punch list for revisions.

Client feedback

Share a video with a client and let them leave precise feedback that's easy to act on.

Tips for Better Video Comments

Be specific

Good: "Cut to the B-roll of the product here" Less helpful: "Something feels off in this section"

Use drawings for visual feedback

A quick circle or arrow can communicate more than a paragraph of text.

Use clips for handoffs

Instead of describing which parts of a video you need, clip them directly and share the clips.
