Copied!

Eden is a workspace where your files, links, notes, and AI all live together. This guide explains how everything is organized and how the pieces connect.

The Main Areas

Sidebar (Left)

Your content library. Everything you upload or create appears here, organized in folders.

  • Folders — Organize content however you like

  • Files — Videos, PDFs, images, audio

  • Links — YouTube, Instagram, web pages

  • Notes — Your writing and ideas

  • Canvases — Visual workspaces with AI

Main Area (Center)

Where you view and work with content. What you see depends on what you've selected:

  • File view — view your folders and files, search, and filter

  • A video — Player with transcript, comments, and clips

  • A PDF — Document viewer

  • A note — Markdown editor

  • A canvas — Visual workspace with AI chats

Quick Create Bar (Top)

Fast access to create new items while in the workspace view:

  • Note — Start writing immediately

  • Canvas — Create a visual workspace

  • Link — Paste a URL to save

Stored and searchable

Everything you add is automatically processed so you can search it, reference it with AI, and find it later.

How Content Gets Processed

When you upload or link something, Eden works in the background:

  1. Downloads/stores the content

  2. Transcribes any speech

  3. Analyzes visual content frame-by-frame

  4. Creates segments with tags and descriptions

  5. Makes everything searchable

You'll see a processing indicator while this happens. Once complete, the content is fully searchable and ready to use with AI.

Working with Panes

Eden lets you open multiple items side-by-side using panes. This is powerful for:

  • Watching a video while taking notes

  • Comparing two documents

  • Working on a canvas while referencing research

To open an item in a pane:

  • Option+click (Mac) or Alt+click (Windows) any item

  • Right-clickOpen in Pane

  • Hover over an item in sidebar → click the Open in Pane icon

You can open as many panes as you like and drag them to rearrange the layout.

See Working in Multiple Panes for more.

The Three Core Features

Eden is built around three main capabilities:

1. A Better Drive

Store everything — files, links, notes — in one place. Everything is automatically transcribed, tagged, and analyzed. No more losing ideas across scattered apps.

2. Visual Search

Find anything by describing it. Search for "person in red jacket" or "when they mention the budget" and Eden finds the exact frame or moment.

3. Canvas with Spatial AI

Connect your content to AI on a visual canvas. Drag files, links, and notes together, connect them to AI chats, and work in a way that matches how you think.

How It All Connects

Here's a typical workflow showing how the pieces work together:

  1. Upload research — Add YouTube videos, PDFs, articles to a project folder

  2. Let Eden process — Transcription and analysis happens automatically

  3. Search when needed — Find specific moments or ideas with visual search

  4. Create a canvas — Drag your best sources onto a visual workspace

  5. Connect to AI — Ask questions, get summaries, generate ideas

  6. Write in notes — Draft your content alongside your research

  7. Collaborate — Share with team members, leave video comments

Everything stays connected in one workspace.
