Eden is a workspace where your files, links, notes, and AI all live together. This guide explains how everything is organized and how the pieces connect.

What Can You Store in Eden?
Eden handles many types of content:
Type | Examples | What Eden Does |
|---|---|---|
Videos | MP4, MOV, uploaded files | Transcribes, analyzes frames, creates segments |
Video links | YouTube, YouTube Shorts | Downloads, transcribes, analyzes |
Social links | Instagram Reels, Twitter/X | Downloads, transcribes content |
Documents | PDFs | Extracts text, makes searchable |
Images | PNG, JPG, GIF | Analyzes content, makes searchable |
Audio | MP3, WAV | Transcribes speech |
Web pages | Articles, Substack posts | Saves and extracts content |
Notes | Your writing | Stored and searchable |
Everything you add is automatically processed so you can search it, reference it with AI, and find it later.
How Content Gets Processed
When you upload or link something, Eden works in the background:
Downloads/stores the content
Transcribes any speech
Analyzes visual content frame-by-frame
Creates segments with tags and descriptions
Makes everything searchable
You'll see a processing indicator while this happens. Once complete, the content is fully searchable and ready to use with AI.
Working with Panes
Eden lets you open multiple items side-by-side using panes. This is powerful for:
Watching a video while taking notes
Comparing two documents
Working in a project while referencing research
To open an item in a pane:
Option+click (Mac) or Alt+click (Windows) any item
Right-click → Open in Pane
Hover over an item in sidebar → click the Open in Pane icon
You can open as many panes as you like and drag them to rearrange the layout.
See Working in Multiple Panes for more.
The Four Core Features
Eden is built around four main capabilities:
1. Your Drive, Supercharged
Store everything — files, links, notes — in one place. Everything is automatically transcribed, tagged, and analyzed. No more losing ideas across scattered apps. Your workspace isn't just storage — it's your AI's memory.
2. Search That Actually Works
Find anything by describing it. Search for "person in red jacket" or "when they mention the budget" and Eden finds the exact frame or moment. You can also use @ mentions in AI chats to reference specific files, or ask AI to search your workspace for you.
3. Projects for Focused Work
Create a dedicated space for a specific piece of work — an article, a video script, a client deliverable. Add your files, research, and references, and AI automatically has context of everything in the Project. Write and edit directly in the Project while chatting with AI — no switching between tools.
4. AI Agents That Do Things
Eden's AI doesn't just answer questions — it performs actions in your workspace. It can create files, organize folders, search the web, and execute complex multi-step tasks. Tell it about your work and watch it build your entire workspace structure, research topics, draft documents, and maintain your organization system.
How It All Connects
Here's a typical workflow showing how the pieces work together:
Upload research — Add YouTube videos, PDFs, and articles to your workspace
Let Eden process — Transcription and analysis happens automatically
Search when needed — Find specific moments or ideas across all your content
Create a Project — Set up a focused space for your current piece of work
Add your sources — Pull in the files and research relevant to this project
Work with AI — Ask questions, get summaries, and draft content — AI has full context of everything in your Project
Let agents handle the rest — Delegate organization, research, and busywork to AI agents
Thank you.
