Setting up your brief
Point the strategist at your market in two minutes. Topics are the only requirement; creators, your own handles, an identity, and standing guidance make it sharper.
A brief needs surprisingly little from you: what you talk about, where you post, and who is worth watching. The strategist handles everything else, including which platforms and formats to search. Setup takes about two minutes in chat.
The fastest path: set up in chat
Open Radar from the sidebar and choose Set up in chat. Tell Eden what you make content about and for whom. It drafts sharp topics for you, recommends creators worth studying, and asks once whether you want to plug in your own handles. Review the card it proposes and hit Start my brief. Your settings save and the first brief starts generating on the spot.
You can re-open the chat any time to change things, or edit everything directly in Radar settings.
What each setting does
- Topics (required). Short research queries that name your content pillars with an angle. "Audience growth for writers" beats "marketing". Two to five sharp topics is the sweet spot, and topics alone are enough to generate.
- Creators to watch (optional). People whose content the sweep studies for breakouts. A handful is plenty; the strategist also finds adjacent creators winning on your themes that you didn't know to name.
- Your profiles (recommended). The handles you publish from. This is what powers your scoreboard: your posts scored against your own baseline, and past winners resurfaced when they deserve a second life.
- Identity (recommended). Your Eden identity tells the strategist which lane is yours, so the plan fits how you actually create instead of generic advice.
- Strategy guidance (optional). Standing instructions for the strategist, like "focus on long-form" or "never suggest political angles". It applies to every future brief.
- Highlights (optional). If you sync Readwise, Eden can fold your highlights into the brief's personal context.
- Email notifications. Get an email when a new brief is ready. On or off per brief.
There is nothing to configure about platforms or content types. The sweep searches every platform and every format on its own, and ranks what it finds by how hard each post beat its creator's baseline.
Changing settings later
Settings changes take effect on your next brief, whether that's the automatic weekly refresh or a manual one. Existing briefs never change after they're generated, so you can always scroll back and see exactly what the strategist said and why.
