  • Read elsewhere when you want. Keep Readwise for daily review and its reading integrations. Use Eden to assemble the material for a question, an essay, or a project.

  • Connect directly, too. Eden also supports Kindle and Snipd highlight syncing. Choose the sources that fit your reading rather than rebuilding your collection by hand.

See the sources. Find your own through-line.

  • Put the relevant passages together. A highlight becomes a quote card with attribution. Arrange it beside other sources and your own observations.

  • Make room for the unfinished idea. Add a note or outline to the same board. Compare claims, connect supporting examples, and leave questions where you can see them.

  • Write with the research close. Open the draft beside the material it draws from. Your board holds the developing work as well as the reading behind it.

  • Choose the context. Send selected highlights or a board to chat. Ask where two sources agree, what they overlook, or what would challenge their claims.

  • Carry the answer into a draft. Use the conversation to develop a structure or sharpen a paragraph. Keep your own notes and references together as the idea changes.

Eden vs Readwise, common questions.

Can I use Eden with Readwise?

Yes. Any Eden plan can import Readwise highlights into your highlight library, up to 100 items on Free. Personal and above keep them synced on their own. You can then search them, put them on boards, and use them as context in chat on an AI-enabled plan. This imports highlights; it is not a migration of your entire Reader library or its settings.

Does Readwise have AI chat across the whole library?

Yes. Global Ghostreader supports library-wide research with cited answers, skills, and tools on web and desktop. Mobile supports document chat. The reason to choose Eden is its combined board, notes, and writing workspace, not exclusive access to AI over your reading.

Does Eden replace Readwise’s daily review?

Eden lets you revisit and work with your highlights. If a dedicated spaced-repetition and daily review routine is important to you, keep Readwise for that part of the workflow.
