Add an offer after a product purchase
Let buyers add Eden Starter, Pro, or extra credits after buying your product.
An after-purchase offer gives your buyer an optional next step after paying for your product. Eligible referrals can earn you commission on the buyer's Eden payments.
Choose your offer
Open your product in Sales → Products, then choose Offer → After-purchase offer. Turn on Offer an upsell, then choose an offer type:
- Eden plans — first month 50% off lets eligible first-time subscribers choose Starter or Pro at half price for their first month. Starter is selected initially. The price, benefits, and regular monthly renewal price update with their selection before they accept.
- Credit pack offers a one-time pack of extra Eden credits.
- Automatic chooses the subscription offer for eligible first-time subscribers and a credit pack for other eligible buyers.
Turn Offer an upsell off to keep the standard product checkout without an after-purchase offer.
Save your changes. After-purchase offers are available for paid products; free products can still earn referral commission through the existing referral system. Existing products start with this setting off.
What your buyer sees
Buyers pay on your product page. The buy box takes their email first, then swaps to the card fields in the same spot: card number, expiry, and security code, with Apple Pay and Google Pay on top where the buyer's device supports them. They see Purchasing as with a Change option, and nothing leaves the page until the payment is done. The Direct checkout link under Share it opens just that buy box on your product page, for the buy button on your own site.
The card form states that the buyer's card is saved securely for optional discounts and other custom AIs. They enter their card once for your product and can reuse it for an offer they accept. The permission also covers future custom AI purchases; returning-buyer saved-card checkout across creators is not available yet. Buyers who would rather not save a card choose Pay without saving my card, which opens the standard checkout and skips the offer.
Checkout asks for nothing beyond email and card by default. Two switches under Checkout in the offer step of the product editor ask for more:
- Ask for a first name adds a first name box beside the email box, on free and paid products. The name goes to your connected email tool (Kit and GoHighLevel take it as the subscriber's first name), your buyers CSV, and the Customers tab.
- Ask for a billing address adds name, street, city, postal code, and country to the card form. Turn it on when buyers need it for tax invoices.
With both on, the address form is pre-filled with the first name the buyer already typed, so nothing is asked twice.
After payment, the subscription offer explains that Eden is where the buyer's new custom AI lives, then introduces its AI second brain: a searchable library for ideas, links, files, and highlights, with AI to help buyers use what they've saved. The selected plan's monthly credits appear separately, and More creator tools expands the publishing features. Pro adds more monthly credits and Instagram Auto-DMs. A credit-pack offer instead shows the extra credit amount.
Buyers can accept the offer with their saved card or choose Skip and open my product. Their bank may ask them to verify either payment. Existing Eden users sign in with their purchase email and choose a workspace before accepting an offer. Once a payment attempt begins, retries keep the same plan.
Your product payment and the Eden offer are separate charges. A subscription starts only when the buyer accepts its displayed price and renewal terms. A credit pack does not start a subscription. Declining or skipping the offer never takes away their product purchase.
Referral earnings
A new account created through your product purchase receives your creator referral attribution. Buying an additional product does not replace an existing account's attribution. A buyer's existing subscription or subscription history can make them ineligible for the first-month discount.
Commission follows eligible payments actually collected: a discounted first invoice produces commission on that discounted payment, and later subscription payments follow their regular amount. Check Sales → Referrals for your earnings and current commission rate.
