The best social media management tools for agencies in 2026
The best social media management tools for agencies, compared on price per client, seats, approvals, and research. Sprout, Hootsuite, Agorapulse, Vista Social, Eden.
The best social media management tool for an agency depends on what your team spends its day doing. If you manage community replies and report to brand teams, Sprout Social and Hootsuite are the most complete, and Agorapulse does most of it for less. If you want many profiles for a flat price, Vista Social and Sendible win on cost per client. If your agency writes the content for creators and founders, Eden Agency is built for that: research, AI drafts in each client's voice, and scheduling in a private workspace per client.
Full disclosure: we make Eden, which is on this list. We explain where each tool wins, including the jobs Eden doesn't do. All prices were checked on each company's site in October 2026.

How to judge agency social tools
Agency needs are different from a solo creator's. Judge on five things:
- Cost per client, not per month. Divide the price by the number of clients it covers. Per-seat tools look cheap at one user and expensive at ten.
- Separation between clients. Can one person post to the wrong account by accident? Are files, drafts, and voices kept apart?
- Approvals. How do clients see and approve drafts?
- Inbox and listening. Do you reply to comments and DMs for clients, or only publish?
- Help with what to post. Most suites start once the post exists. If your agency also writes the content, research and AI drafting matter as much as the calendar.
1. Eden Agency
Eden is an AI content workspace, and its Agency plan is built for teams that make the content, not just publish it.
What it does well:
- A private workspace per client. 25 included, then $9 a month each. Boards, notes, chats, and scheduling stay with that client. Switch with ⌥ ⌘ K.
- Research before writing. Discover scores outlier posts across X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Substack. Research skills save a client niche's top posts to their Research board.
- Drafts in each client's voice. Custom AIs trained on a client's examples, plus your own SOPs shared as Custom AIs and skills into every client workspace.
- Scheduling to eight platforms. X, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and Substack, with 50 brands. Eden is one of the few tools that schedules Substack.
- Flat team pricing. 10 seats included, extra seats $15 a month. Clients join free as guests on boards you choose.
- Instagram Auto-DM, email, and 365 days of analytics in the same plan.
Where it falls short: no shared social inbox for replying to comments and DMs across accounts, no listening, no formal approval chains, and no white-label or branded client reports. No Pinterest, Bluesky, or Google Business Profile. If those are your job, pick one of the suites below.
Price: $999 a month or $9,990 a year. 15,000 AI credits a month pooled across your team and every client.
Best for: content agencies, ghostwriting agencies, and creator-focused teams whose value is in the writing.
2. Sprout Social
Sprout Social is the most polished all-round suite: a smart inbox, publishing, listening, approvals, and reports that clients actually read.
What it does well:
- The best unified inbox in the category, with tagging and team assignment.
- Reports that look good enough to send straight to a client.
- Approval workflows and strong permissions.
- A 30-day free trial with no card.
Where it falls short: price per seat. Essentials is $79 per seat a month on yearly billing ($99 monthly) with 5 profiles, Standard is $199 per seat, Professional $299, and Advanced $399. Ten seats on Standard is about $1,990 a month. It does not help much with what to post, and there is no Substack.
Best for: agencies that run community management and report to in-house marketing teams.
3. Hootsuite
Hootsuite is the enterprise command center: publishing, inbox, listening, and team routing across a wide set of networks.
What it does well:
- Broad network coverage and a mature app ecosystem.
- Listening and inbox tools built for large accounts.
- Official MCP connectors for Claude, so assistants can work with your Hootsuite data.
Where it falls short: Standard is $99 per user a month (10 accounts), Professional $199, Advanced $399, all billed yearly. Monthly billing costs more. Every new teammate is another seat. See our full Eden vs Hootsuite comparison.
Best for: larger agencies with enterprise clients and dedicated community teams.
4. Agorapulse
Agorapulse is the value pick among inbox-first suites. It covers 11 or more networks, including Threads, Bluesky, Reddit, and Google Business.
What it does well:
- A clean shared inbox and reliable publishing.
- Lower per-user prices than Sprout and Hootsuite.
- A 30-day trial, then a free plan if you don't upgrade.
Where it falls short: still priced per user, and each plan includes 10 profiles. Standard is $99 per user a month ($79 yearly), Professional $149 ($119 yearly), and Advanced $199 ($149 yearly). No content research or voice-trained drafting.
Best for: small and mid-size agencies that need an inbox and approvals without Sprout prices.
5. Vista Social
Vista Social prices by profile count, which suits agencies with many small clients.
What it does well:
- Plans bundle profiles and users: Professional is $99 a month for 15 profiles and 2 users, Advanced $199 for 30 profiles and 3 users, Scale $449 for 70 profiles and 4 users. Yearly billing is about 20% less.
- A 14-day free trial with no card.
Where it falls short: few users per plan, so bigger teams move to Enterprise. Research and writing help are light.
Best for: lean agencies managing many profiles with a small team.
6. Sendible
Sendible has unlimited users on every plan, which is rare.
What it does well:
- Unlimited users from the $29 Core plan (6 profiles) up through Plus ($99, 18 profiles), Premium ($199, 42 profiles), Elite ($499, 90 profiles), and Enterprise ($999, 300 profiles). Yearly billing saves 15%.
- White label is available as a paid add-on on Elite and Enterprise.
Where it falls short: priced by profile count, so many-platform clients use up profiles fast. Not built for research or writing.
Best for: agencies with large teams and simple publishing needs, or that need a white-label dashboard.
7. Planable
Planable is built around client approvals. Drafts look like real posts, and clients comment and approve right on them.
What it does well:
- The cleanest approval experience on this list. Required approvals start on Pro, and Enterprise adds multi-level approvals.
- Priced per workspace with unlimited users. Planable recommends one workspace per client.
Where it falls short: post caps (Basic has 60 posts a month, Pro 150), and no research. Basic is $396 a year per workspace and Pro is $588, so many clients means many workspaces.
Best for: agencies whose biggest headache is getting client sign-off.
Which one should you pick
- Your agency writes the content for creators and founders: Eden Agency. Research, voice, and scheduling sit together, and clients stay separate.
- You manage community replies and report to brand teams: Sprout Social, or Agorapulse for less.
- You have enterprise clients and a large team: Hootsuite.
- Many small clients, small team: Vista Social.
- Big team, simple publishing, or white label: Sendible.
- Approvals are the bottleneck: Planable.
Some agencies pair two: Eden for research, writing, and scheduling, and an inbox tool for community replies. If you are a solo creator rather than an agency, see the best social media schedulers for creators instead.
