What a content agency tech stack costs: $2,261 a month, line by line
The real monthly cost of a content agency tech stack for a 10-person team, priced tool by tool, and what it looks like as one plan instead.
A typical content agency tech stack for a 10-person team costs about $2,261 a month at list price, or $27,252 a year. That is the floor: each line is one tool's cheapest fair plan, and two of them are priced for a single user. The same jobs on Eden Agency cost $999 a month, which is $15,144 a year back. Below is every line, so you can swap in your own tools and redo the math.
Full disclosure: we make Eden. The point of this post is the line-by-line math, which holds no matter what you end up buying. Prices are list prices billed monthly where offered, checked on each company's site in October 2026.
The full stack, priced

| AI chat | ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini | ChatGPT Business, 10 seats at $25 | $250 |
| Content research | Sandcastles, Poppy, 1of10 | Sandcastles Titan $499 + Poppy Creator $189 + 1of10 Basic $19 | $707 |
| AI search | Perplexity | Perplexity Enterprise Pro, 10 seats at $40 | $400 |
| Post scheduling | Hootsuite, Buffer, Later | Hootsuite Advanced, 1 user | $399 |
| Post analytics | Iconosquare, Sprout Social, Metricool | Iconosquare Launch, 1 user | $39 |
| Instagram DMs | ManyChat, LinkDM | ManyChat Pro | $39 |
| Email marketing | Kit, beehiiv, Mailchimp | Kit Creator, 1,000 subscribers | $33 |
| Link in bio | Linktree, Stan, Beacons | Linktree Pro | $15 |
| Courses | Kajabi, Teachable, Skool | Kajabi Basic | $179 |
| Total | $2,261 |
A few notes on how we priced it:
- Research stacks three tools. Many teams pay for more than one, because each covers different platforms. Poppy's Creator plan is billed yearly only.
- Hootsuite and Iconosquare are priced for one user. Real teams need more. Three people on Hootsuite Advanced is $1,197 a month on its own.
- Seat-based tools are priced at 10 seats. Notion, ChatGPT, and Perplexity scale with headcount, so every hire adds $85 a month across those three.
- Email and DMs are priced at the entry tier. Both grow with list size.

Eden Agency is $999 a month, or $9,990 a year (two months free, about $833 a month). That includes 15,000 AI credits a month pooled across your team and every client, 10 team seats, and 25 client workspaces. Extra seats are $15 a month and extra clients are $9 a month. A smaller team can start on Agency Lite at $299 a month, with 3 seats, 5 client workspaces, and 4,500 credits. Email lists over 250 contacts add a paid list size, so price that in if you run big newsletters for clients.
Against the stack above, that is $1,262 a month back, or $15,144 a year on monthly billing.
What the price table leaves out
Subscriptions are the visible cost. The bigger one is time:
- Copying work between tools. Research lives in one app, drafts in another, the queue in a third. Every hop is a paste, a lost link, or a post that went to the wrong client.
- Onboarding. A new hire learns ten tools and ten logins. A new client means setting up accounts in each one.
- Context that does not travel. Your best writer's prompts and client voice notes sit in their own chat history. When they leave, so does the know-how. We cover the fix in how to scale a content agency with AI.
- Offboarding. Ten tools means ten places to remove access when someone leaves.
When the stack is the better buy
One plan is not always cheaper or better. Keep separate tools if:
- You have a small team and few clients. Two people with three clients can run on a few cheap plans. Eden Agency Lite at $299 a month includes 5 client workspaces and 3 seats, and may be all you need.
- You need a shared social inbox, approval chains, or white-label client reports. Eden does not do those. Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or Agorapulse do.
- You sell funnels, texting, and CRM to local businesses. GoHighLevel covers that world. Eden does not.
- Your team only makes short-form video scripts. A focused video tool may be enough, and the rest of the stack may be overkill.

How to price your own stack
- List every tool your team paid for last month. Check the card statement, not your memory.
- Put each one next to the job it does. You will find two or three tools doing the same job.
- Multiply seat-based tools by real headcount, not the number you signed up with.
- Add the per-client costs: extra profiles, extra workspaces, extra list size.
- Compare the total to your monthly revenue. Software is a cost of delivery, so it belongs in your pricing. More on that in how to price content agency services.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a content agency spend on tools?
For a 10-person team, a common stack runs about $2,261 a month at list price using each tool's cheapest fair plan. Agencies with more seats in Hootsuite or Sprout Social, or bigger email lists, spend more.
What is the biggest line in a content agency's stack?
Usually research or scheduling. Stacking three research tools came to $707 a month in our pricing, and per-seat scheduling suites grow fastest as the team grows.
Is Eden Agency cheaper than separate tools?
For a 10-person team doing research, writing, scheduling, and analytics, yes: $999 a month against $2,261. For a team of one or two, a smaller plan or a few cheap tools can cost less. See pricing for every plan.
