Run a cohort

Set it up

1. 01

   Create the product

   Open your store, go to Products, click New product, and pick Cohort.

2. 02

   Name, price, and add lessons

   Fill in the Offer step, then add lessons in sections on the Knowledge step. Sections are what open week by week.

3. 03

   Add a cohort

   On the Schedule step, click New cohort and fill in the dates, seats, and live sessions.

4. 04

   Publish

   Fill in the Page step, then finish the checklist on Publish.

A cohort comes with an AI chat. To drop it, set Product type on the Offer step to Course. The Configure step goes away and Knowledge becomes Lessons.

Cohort settings

Setting	What it does
Name	What buyers see, like "October cohort".
Starts / Ends	The dates and times of the run, in the Time zone you pick.
Enrollment	Open takes buyers. Draft hides it. Closed shows it but takes no one.
Seats	How many can join. Leave empty for no limit.
Waitlist when full	Lets people leave their email when no seat is left.
Late joins	Lets buyers join after the start date, until it ends.
Lessons open	All at the start, One section a week, or On dates I pick.
Live sessions	Click Add a session for each call. Paste a Join link and, later, a recording link.
Group chat	A Discord, Skool, WhatsApp, or any group link. Only people in this cohort see it.

For a weekly call, set up the first session, type a number in Weekly for, and click Fill in sessions. This replaces the list, so do it before editing sessions one by one.

Run a one-time workshop

For a single live class or event, click New product and pick Workshop instead.

• It opens on the Date step with a date a week out. Set Date and time, Length, and a join link.
• Lessons are optional. Buyers get the live session, and the recording once you add it.
• People can buy until it starts. To run it again, click Add another date.
• Your page shows Live workshop, the time, the length, and the seats left.

Questions before each call

Every live session has its own thread. Before the call, students post questions and tap the heart on the ones they want answered too. After it, the same thread takes follow-ups.

• On the Schedule step, click the speech bubble on a cohort to see each session's questions, most hearted first.
• Click Mark answered as you go, or post a note to the group. Your notes pin to the top.
• You can delete any post. Students can delete their own.
• A thread closes to new posts a week after its call.

Manage who's enrolled

• Click Who's enrolled on a cohort to see students and the waitlist.
• Use Move to next to a name to move someone to another cohort.
• Download calendar file saves every session to your own calendar.
• You can only delete a cohort nobody has joined. Otherwise, set Enrollment to Closed.

What your buyer sees

• The next cohort's dates, seats left, and session times on your page.
• They join the soonest open cohort. A paid buyer always gets a seat.
• A Live sessions list above the lessons, in their own time zone.
• Join works from 15 minutes before a call. Watch shows once you add a recording.
• A Join the group chat button when you add a group link.
• A question thread under each session.
• Add to calendar for every session, and Switch to another cohort before theirs starts.
• Locked sections show when they open. Your AI can't read them early either.
• An email a day before and an hour before each session. The hour-before one has the join link.
• An email with the link when you add a session's recording.
• The same on the Eden iPhone and Android apps.

Good to know

• Building is free on any plan. Publishing needs Starter, Pro, or Studio.
• Nobody can buy until at least one cohort can take buyers.
• When every cohort is full or closed and the waitlist is on, the buy button becomes Join the waitlist.
• With an email list connected and Newsletter and waitlist signups on, waitlist emails go to your list tagged "Eden waitlist", never with your buyer tags.
• Eden chat and the Eden MCP can set up cohorts, add sessions, and move students. They ask for your time zone first.
