Use the Eden API
Make an API key and connect your own code, a checkout, or an automation tool to your Eden store and workspace.
Go to Settings → API and click Generate key. Send the key on every call as
Authorization: Bearer <key>. Store calls go to https://api.eden.so, workspace calls to
https://mcp.eden.so.
Make a key
- 01
Open Settings → API
Under API keys, give the key a name you'll recognize, like the checkout or tool it's for.
- 02
Pick what it can do
Full access can do anything you can. Read-only can read but not change anything. Custom lets you pick a level for each part of Eden. Run more than one store? Pick which one in the store menu. A key only reaches that store.
- 03
Generate and copy it
Click Generate key, then Copy. Eden shows the key once and can't show it again.
Limit what a key can do
Pick Custom before you click Generate key. Each part of Eden gets its own level:
| Level | What the key can do |
|---|---|
| Off | Nothing. Its tools don't show up for the key. |
| Read | Look, never change. |
| Edit | Read and change. |
| Drafts | Scheduling only. Save and edit drafts, but never post or schedule. |
| Publish | Scheduling only. Post, schedule, connect accounts, and set up Auto-DMs. |
For example, an AI agent that edits your notes and reads your sales, but never posts: Boards and documents on Edit, Store on Read, and Scheduling on Off.
Asking a Custom AI, chatting, and routines run Eden's AI as you with every tool, so they need Full access. You can't change a key's access later. Make a new key and revoke the old one.
See what a key is doing
Each key in the list shows its calls, errors, and AI credits for the last 7 days. Click the errors to see the last few, with what was called and why it failed.
What the API can reach
| Part | What it's for |
|---|---|
| Store API | Record sales, give or remove access, list every sale and customer, make and publish products, manage email contacts. |
| Workspace API | Every Eden MCP tool as a plain web call: Discover, scheduling, analytics, boards, notes, tables, and Custom AIs. |
| Webhooks | Eden posts sales, signups, bookings, and scheduled posts to your app as they happen. |
| API reference | Every store endpoint and its fields. |
Both parts have an OpenAPI file for Postman or a code generator: https://api.eden.so/store-app/v1/openapi.json and https://mcp.eden.so/v1/openapi.json.
Using an automation tool instead of code? See Zapier, n8n, or Make.
Limits
- 20 keys per account. Keys don't expire.
- 60 sales a minute and 2,000 new accesses a day on the store API.
- 120 workspace calls a minute per key, shared with MCP.
- Store calls and webhooks need Starter or above.
If something's not working
| What you see | What to do |
|---|---|
401 | The key was revoked or pasted wrong. Make a new key. |
402 | The call needs a higher plan, or the workspace is out of AI credits. Check Settings → Billing. |
403 | The key's access doesn't allow that call, or it can't reach that store or workspace. Check the key's access and store. |
429 | Too many calls at once. Wait a minute, then try again. |
