Tagging items with workspace tags

Tags are shared by everyone in your workspace. One item can have many tags. Boards and chats can't be tagged, only the items in them.

Tag an item

• Library or board: right-click the item and choose Tags….
• Inside a note, table, or saved post: open the ⚙ settings menu and choose Tags.
• A card that already has tags: click the # and number on the card.
• iPhone and Android: press and hold the card and tap Tags, or tap the tag name under a tagged card.

In the picker, tick to add and untick to remove. Type a name that doesn't exist yet to create it. New tags start gray unless you pick a color.

Tag many items at once

• Library: select several cards, then click Tags in the bar at the bottom. Or right-click and choose Tag N items….
• Board: select cards in grid or list view and click the # button in the toolbar.

Tag as you save

Look for the # button when you save. Pick tags first and the item lands already tagged.

Tag inside a note

Type # in a note to pick a tag. Press Enter to add it as a chip. This also tags the note. Click a chip to see everything with that tag in your Library.

Tags from Kindle, Readwise, and Snipd

Write #habits in your note on a highlight. When it syncs, the highlight gets the habits tag. Eden only reads your note, not the highlighted text. Tags you already use in Readwise come over too.

Manage your tags

Go to Settings → Tags to create, rename, recolor, or delete tags. Changes apply everywhere at once. Deleting a tag removes it from items but never deletes the items.

Names ignore capital letters, so "Client A" and "client a" are the same tag.

Tags in chat

Ask Eden chat to list your tags, tag items for you, or search only tagged items. For example: "find my notes tagged client-a about pricing."
