Run a test

1. 01

   Start the test

   In the product editor, click Test checkout next to Preview as buyer. It works before the product is live and before you connect Stripe.

2. 02

   Buy it like a buyer

   Click buy on your product page. At checkout, use a test card with any future date and any CVC. Tick your order bump to see the total change.

3. 03

   Answer your offers

   Say yes or no to each upsell. Click Start over to try the other answer.

4. 04

   Finish

   You land on the thank-you page buyers see. Click End test when you're done.

Test cards

Click Steps in the orange bar to jump to any step and see What happened so far. On the checkout step, the panel lists these cards so you can copy one.

What you get during a test

• The receipt email a real buyer gets, sent to you.
• A sale alert on your phone, marked Test sale, if you use the Eden app.
• Email 1 of each sequence the purchase would start, sent to you with [TEST] in the subject.

Memberships, free trials, and payment plans work too. End test cancels anything the test started.

Fix a step while you test

Click Edit this step in the Only you see this box. You can change the product page headline, subheadline, and button label, your order bump, your upsells, and the Eden offer. The page redraws with your changes. If the product is live, buyers see the change right away.

What a test never does

• It never charges a card or shows up in your Stripe account.
• It never adds a customer, contact, sale, or affiliate commission.
• It never gives you access to the product. Use Preview as buyer to see what buyers get.

If something's not working

• Free products have no checkout to test.
• Products on your own checkout have no Eden checkout to test.
• "Claim your store link first": set your store link, then start the test again.
• A test lasts 6 hours. After that, start a new one from the editor.
