Eden AI

Connectors: give Eden chat access to your other apps

Connect Notion, Kit, beehiiv, Kajabi, Whop, Circle, Stripe, and other apps through MCP and Eden chat can read from them and act in them. Sign in once, switch off any tool you don't want Eden to touch, and pause or remove a connection any time.

Eden chat already knows your boards, notes, and the social index. Connectors extend that to the apps you run your business in. Connect one under Settings → Connectors and every chat in the workspace can use its tools: search your Notion, check a Kit broadcast, pull Meta Ads performance, or run a Zapier action.

What a connector is

Many apps now publish an MCP server, a standard way for AI tools to read and act on your data in that app. Eden connects to those servers the same way Claude or ChatGPT connectors do. Once connected, the app's tools become chat tools: Eden decides when to reach for them, calls them on your behalf, and works the results into its answer.

Each connection belongs to a workspace, so a client workspace can have its own Zapier server while your main workspace has another.

Connecting an app

  1. Open Settings → Connectors. The grid lists the apps Eden supports out of the box: Notion, Kit, Meta Ads, beehiiv, Klaviyo, Webflow, Stripe, Kajabi, Whop, Circle, and Zapier, with Canva marked coming soon.
  2. For sign-in apps (everything except Zapier) click Sign in. A window opens on the app's own site; approve the access and it closes on its own. On the desktop app the sign-in opens in your browser; come back to Eden when you are done.
  3. For key-based apps click Connect, then paste the key. For Zapier that is your personal Zapier MCP server URL.
  4. Eden checks the connection and lists how many tools it found. That is it: the tools are live in chat right away.

Connecting from the chat

You don't have to find the settings page. Ask in any chat, "help me connect Kajabi" or "can you talk to my Notion?", and Eden puts a card in the conversation with the app's Sign in button. Click it, approve the access in the window that opens, and the card flips to Connected with a Continue button that picks the conversation back up with the new tools in play.

The card is honest about the state of things. If the app is already connected it says so, if it is paused it offers Turn on, if its sign-in expired it offers Reconnect, and for key-based apps like Zapier it sends you to Settings → Connectors to paste the key. Ask for an app Eden doesn't support yet and it tells you plainly, with the two real options: add the app's own MCP server by URL, or reach it through Zapier.

The same card works in the iPhone and Android apps. Sign in opens the app's own sign-in page in your browser; when you come back, the card flips to Connected on its own. On the phone you can also manage connectors under Settings → Connectors and switch any of them on or off from the chat's + menu.

Using connectors in chat

Just ask. If you have Notion connected, "find my brief on pricing in Notion" is enough; Eden loads the connection's tools when your request calls for them and stays out of the way otherwise. Naming the app makes the routing more direct.

Apps with a lot of tools, like Meta Ads, are loaded by search: Eden picks the handful of tools that fit what you asked instead of loading all of them, so big connectors stay fast and never drop tools.

Each call shows up in the chat as a small line like Notion · Search pages, so you can see what Eden did. If a call fails, the line stays visible with the reason, for example that the app's sign-in expired.

Quick switches in the composer

Click the + button next to the chat box and hover Connectors. The flyout lists every connected app with an on/off switch, so you can pause Notion for one conversation without leaving the chat, then turn it back on later. The small number next to Connectors is how many apps are currently on. Manage connectors at the top of the flyout jumps straight to Settings → Connectors for signing in, refreshing tools, or removing a connection.

Choosing connectors for one Custom AI

By default a Custom AI can use every connector the workspace has on, the same as any chat. When that is too much, open the Custom AI, go to Configure, and use the Connectors card to pick Only the ones I pick. Tick the apps this Custom AI should reach and leave the rest unticked.

This is built for the "two apps, one job" case. If you have both Kit and beehiiv connected, give your newsletter Custom AI just one of them so it never has to guess which list to publish to. A Custom AI limited this way tells you when you ask for an app it cannot use, and a Custom AI installed from the marketplace that expects an app you have not connected says so instead of pretending.

You can also ask while building: "only use Kit, not beehiiv" in the Custom AI builder sets the same pick.

Put a connector on a routine

Connectors and routines are made for each other. A routine is a prompt Eden runs on a schedule; with a connector attached, that prompt can read your business apps. Ask in chat:

Every Monday at 7am, summarize Stripe revenue for last week versus the week before, list new and cancelled subscriptions, and compare last week's newsletter to the previous four on opens and clicks.

Eden creates the routine and each run lands in a fresh chat, with the result emailed to you if you leave that on. Routines run daily to monthly. For more recipes see routine ideas.

App notes

A few apps have details worth knowing before you connect:

  • Zapier is key-based. Create a Zapier MCP server in your Zapier account, enable the actions you want Eden to reach, and paste the server URL into Connect. Eden can only run the actions you enabled there.
  • Notion only sees pages you share with the connection. If Eden cannot find a page, open it in Notion and check its sharing.
  • Kit, beehiiv, Klaviyo, Stripe, Whop, Kajabi, Circle, and Webflow are sign-in connectors. If you manage more than one account or site, the one you pick during sign-in is the one Eden sees.
  • Meta Ads is coming soon; it needs Meta's approval of Eden's app before the Sign in button appears.

Managing connections

Under each connected app you can:

  • Tools to open the list of everything the app offers and switch off any tool you don't want Eden to reach. Tools marked writes can change things in the app.
  • Refresh tools when the app added or renamed tools since you connected.
  • Pause a connection to hide its tools from chat without deleting the sign-in or key, and Resume later.
  • Remove it. Eden deletes the stored credential and chat loses the tools immediately.

If an app's sign-in expires, the connection shows Reconnect needed with a Reconnect button. Key-based connections that stop working are removed and connected again with a fresh key.

Safety and privacy

  • Sign-ins, keys, and server URLs are stored encrypted on Eden's servers and are never shown again, not even to other members of the workspace.
  • Whatever an app returns is treated as data, never as instructions. Eden will not take an action in one app because text from another told it to.
  • Connectors load on demand, so an idle connection adds nothing to your chats and costs no credits.
  • Eden only reaches into a connected app when you ask in chat. There are no background syncs. What the app returns is shown in the chat and kept as part of that chat, nowhere else.

Deleting your data from a connector

To delete everything Eden holds from a connected app, including a Meta ad account:

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and click Remove on the app. Eden deletes the stored sign-in or key right away.
  2. Delete any chats where you used that app. Chat transcripts are the only place its data is kept.
  3. Optionally revoke Eden on the app's side too. For Meta, open Facebook Settings → Apps and websites, find Eden, and remove it.

Deleting your Eden account removes all of the above at once. For a manual deletion request, email [email protected] from your account email and we will confirm within 30 days.
