Routine ideas: 7 things to put on autopilot

Copy-ready routines for creators — weekly drafts to review, daily post ideas, a strategy sweep, a self-updating content tracker, creator and brand-ad watchlists, and an analytics recap.

A routine is only as good as its prompt. These seven are the ones we see work best. Copy the prompt, tweak the niche and platforms to yours, and say it in chat with a schedule ("every weekday at 9am, ...") or paste it into Settings → Routines → Add routine.

Two habits make every routine below better. First, tell it to work alone: a run can't ask you questions, so open with something like "work autonomously, don't ask questions, state any assumptions." Second, give it a home: runs don't remember each other, so a routine that saves to a note or updates a table builds on itself instead of starting over.

1. A week of drafts, ready to review

Wake up Monday to drafts instead of a blank page. The routine drafts; you stay the editor.

Work autonomously and don't ask questions. Draft 5 X posts and 2 LinkedIn posts for the coming week, based on what performed in my niche this week and written in my voice. Save them as a note called "Drafts — week of [date]" on my Drafts board so I can review, edit, and schedule the keepers.

Run it weekly, Sunday evening. If you trust it further, you can ask it to schedule the posts directly instead of saving drafts, but most people keep the review step.

2. Daily ideas, delivered

The simplest routine, and the one that compounds fastest.

Work autonomously. Find 5 post ideas in the [your niche] niche that are working right now: search recent high-performing posts, pick distinct angles, and for each idea give me the hook, why it's proven, and the post it's based on.

Run it every weekday morning, and check Email me the result after each run so the ideas are in your inbox with your coffee.

3. A weekly strategy sweep

Once a week, zoom out: what moved in your market, how did your own posts do, and what's the one bet for next week?

Work autonomously. Review my posts from the last week against my usual performance, sweep my niche for what's gaining and what's saturating, and end with one clear recommendation for what I should make next week, backed by real posts as evidence. Save the summary as a dated note on my Strategy board.

If you use the Weekly Strategist Custom AI, don't write this by hand: its Routines card comes with a one-click "Weekly strategy sweep" suggestion that runs its full method. See give your Custom AI a routine.

4. A content tracker that updates itself

Chat can read and edit tables on your boards, so a routine can maintain one for you.

Work autonomously. Open the "Content pipeline" table on my Planning board. Mark anything I published this week as Published with the link, flag rows that have sat in Drafting for more than two weeks, and add a row for each new idea saved to my Ideas board since the last run.

Run it weekly. The table is the routine's memory: every run picks up where the last one left off.

5. A creator watchlist

Study the people you learn from without doomscrolling their feeds.

Work autonomously. Check what the creators in my "Study" list posted this week. Summarize the posts that beat their usual numbers: the topic, the format, the hook, and why it likely worked. Skip anything that performed normally.

Run it weekly. Pairs well with a creator list you already keep in Eden; see add creators as sources for building one.

6. A brand ads watchlist

If you write ads or study them, have the new ones come to you.

Work autonomously. Check the brands in my "Ad inspiration" list for ads that started running this week. Summarize the new angles and hooks, note which older ads are still running (long-running ads are usually working), and save standouts to my Ad swipes board.

Run it weekly.

7. A weekly analytics recap

Close the loop on your own numbers.

Work autonomously. Pull my analytics for the last week across my connected platforms. Tell me my top three posts and why they likely won, anything that underperformed, and follower movement. Two short paragraphs, then a one-line takeaway for next week.

Run it Monday morning with email on, and the week starts with a scoreboard instead of a guess.

8. A Monday business recap from your connected apps

With connectors attached, a routine can read the apps your business runs on.

Summarize Stripe revenue for last week versus the week before, by product. List new and cancelled subscriptions with how long each was active. Then compare last week's newsletter to the previous four on opens and clicks. End with the three things I should do this week.

Run it Monday at 7am with email on. Swap Stripe for Whop or Kajabi, and the newsletter for Kit, beehiiv, or Klaviyo, to match your stack. Tell the routine to save the recap to a table and the weeks line up on their own.
