Share files and resources in your Forum
Attach files, documents, boards, and tables to a forum post. Only members of the community can open them.
On the web, write a forum post and use Attach under it. Upload files or pick a document, board, or table from your workspace. Only members can open what you attach.
Attach something to a post

Start a post
Open Forum and click New post. Or open your own post and edit it.

Attach
Under Attach, click Upload files for a PDF, image, video, audio, EPUB, or any other file. Or click From your workspace to pick a document, board, table, or Library file.

Pick what members can do
Each attachment has a Members can copy switch. On, members can download it and add a copy to their own workspace. Off, they can only open it.

Post
Click Post. A post can have up to 10 attachments.
- Anyone who can post in that category can attach. Hosts can lock a category to hosts only.
- Files like zip, csv, or docx are Download only. Members always get to download them.
- Documents, boards, and tables stay live: when you change them, members see the new version. Files are kept as they were when you attached them.
- Uploads count toward the community owner's workspace storage.
Who can open an attachment
Anyone who can see the post. That means members of the community, and only the members a category is Only for when it has that set. Nobody outside the community can open it, even with a link.
What members can do

On iPhone and Android, members open and download attachments in the app. Boards open on a computer. Attach things from the web.
Where did the Resources step go?
Resources now live in the Forum. The product's Resources step is gone, and your old resources are now ordinary posts with the file or item attached, in the same order. A section with the same name as a forum category, like "Start here", moved into that category.
Point new members at a guide
In the Community step, open the Joining tab. Under Welcome pop-up, click Add a link, pick Forum post, and choose the post with your guide.
