Connecting items (backlinks)

Link any item to any other item, like a note to a PDF, and see the link from both sides.

Open an item, hover the connections icon in the bottom left, and click Connect. Pick the item to link. The link shows on both items.

Open any note, link, PDF, or file in a pane.

Hover the connections icon
It sits in the bottom left corner. It shows a number once the item has connections.

Click Connect
Search for the other item and pick it. Both items now list each other.

This works for items with no text of their own, like links, PDFs, and images.

@-mention. In a note, type @ and pick an item. The mention becomes a connection.
Neural relations. Click @ on a suggestion in the Neural panel to mention it, which connects it.
Graph view. Open an item in the graph view and click Connect on a Suggested item.

Nothing connects on its own. You always pick.

Hover the connections icon to see the list. Click a row to open that item.

The list also shows On boards: the boards the item sits on. Sharing a board is not a connection by itself.
Click the × on a row to remove a connection.
A connection with an @ came from a mention. Delete the mention to remove it.

The iOS and Android apps show the same connections. Tap Connect an item to add one.

See saved items related to the paragraph you're writing, and mention them in your note with one click.

See your whole Library as a map, grouped around the books, creators, boards, and ideas that tie your saves together.
