   Open the saved item

   Click the video or post in your Library or on a board.

   Click the book icon

   It's in the top right. Posts also have a Reader button on their details page.

   Select text to highlight

   See highlighting while you read.

Which posts work

Read along with a YouTube video

• The video sits above the transcript. Click the chevron to hide or show it.
• Start the video and an Auto-scroll button appears. Turn it on and the page follows along.
• Scroll yourself and auto-scroll turns off. Click Auto-scroll to turn it back on.
• While auto-scroll is on, the button becomes Highlight passage. It saves the line being spoken. Previous next to it saves the passage that just ended.
• Hover a paragraph and click its time chip (like ▶ 1:23) to jump the video there. The highlighter next to the chip saves the whole paragraph.
• Skip ahead in the player and a Jump to 12:30 button shows up after a few seconds. Click it to scroll to that spot.

iPhone and Android have the same Auto-scroll, Highlight passage, and Jump to buttons.

Keyboard shortcuts (web)

The video keys match YouTube's. They work whether you last clicked the video or the transcript.

↑, ↓, and Page Up or Down still scroll the transcript.
