Read a PDF

   Add the PDF

   Upload it to a board, use Capture → Media, click Upload media in your Library, or drag and drop it in.

   Open Reader

   Open the PDF and click the book icon (Reader mode).

   Exit

   Click Exit reader. If you opened it full screen from a board, you can also click the X (Close reader).

The basic reader works on every plan and reads up to 400 pages.

Make hard PDFs easier to read

Needs Personal Plus or above.

• Click Enhance Readability to have AI clean up the layout. It shows on PDFs that have real text in them.
• Scanned PDFs (photos of pages) need this too. On lower plans you'll see "This looks like a scanned PDF" with Upgrade to Personal Plus.
• Once an enhanced version exists, everyone in the workspace can read it, even after a downgrade.

Highlight a PDF

• In Reader, select text and pick one of four colors, or Note.
• In the page view, select text and click Highlight. It uses your last color. Click Remove highlight to undo it.

Upload size limits

On your phone

• iPhone: open the PDF and tap the Reader book button.
• Android: PDFs open in the page view. For Reader, pick Read in Eden from the Library menu, open it from a reading row on Home, or turn on Open items in Reader in settings.
