How Eden assigns sources

   Open the Sources view

   In the Library, click the stack icon (Browse by source) next to the Grid and List buttons on the filter row.

   Sort

   Click the same button again to sort by Recently added, Most saved, or A–Z.

   Open one

   Click a source to see everything from it.

You never create sources by hand. A source shows up when the first item points to it and goes away when none do.

How Eden picks a source

Eden checks these in order and uses the first that fits:

Notes you wrote and uploads with no link have no source until you give them one.

Why one person shows up twice

Sources follow where content lives, not who made it. Someone's Substack posts file under their newsletter. Their videos file under their YouTube channel. To see them together, merge the two.

Merge two sources

• Hover a source and click Merge with another source. Pick the other one.
• The busier source's name and picture stay. New saves from either place land in the merged source.
• When two sources share a website, handle, or name, a Same creator? card appears with a Merge button. Eden never merges on its own.
• Dismiss a suggestion and it won't come back.

To undo, hover the merged source, click the merge button, and choose Unmerge all. You can also remove one source from the merge or rename it there.

Fix an item's source

Right-click the item in the Library and choose Edit source. You can also open the item and choose Edit source from the Item settings (⋯) menu.

• Pick from Your sources to file it under an existing source.
• Or type a name. A name that matches an existing source files it there. A new name makes a new source.
