Accept or decline applications

This works on an application set to I'll review by hand under Settings → After someone applies. Each person who applies waits under To review, and the Inbox in your store's sidebar shows a number until you decide them. Have more than one application? Pick the form at the top right. The same inbox is also on the form's own Applications tab in Forms.

Decide one person

   Open the application

   Click a name on the left. Their email, score, and every answer show on the right.

   Accept or decline

   Click Accept or Decline. Or press A or D. Press J and K to move between people.

Changed your mind? Open them under Accepted or Declined and click Decline instead, Accept instead, or Back to review.

Auto-declined people

If your community declines some people right away (see Start a community), they show under Declined with an Auto-declined tag. Their decline email waits for the next morning at 9 in your time zone. Click Accept instead or Back to review before then, and no decline email goes.

People who apply again

Someone who applies again with the same email always waits for you, even if your community accepts or declines people right away. Their row says Applied again. Open it to see how it went last time and which answers changed.

Decide many at once

Tick the box next to each person, or Select all. Then click Accept or Decline in the bar on top.

Write the accept and decline emails

   Open the emails

   On the Applications tab, click the email button at the top right. It reads Accept email off · Decline email off until you turn one on.

   Turn one on and write it

   Switch on When you accept someone or When you decline someone. Edit the Subject and Message. Put any invite link in the message.

   Save

   Click Save. It works for your next decision. No need to publish the form.

Click Add chips to drop in their first name, the form name, their score, or your name.

Start a sequence after a decision

In Email → Sequences, make a sequence and set Starts when to You accept an application or You decline an application. Pick the form under Which application forms. Only people who ticked the email box on the form get sequence emails. Sequences need Pro or above.

You can also tag people when you decide. In the emails window, pick tags under Also tag them.

Decide from Zapier or the API

The Accept Application and Decline Application steps in the Eden app on Zapier decide one person, by the Response ID from Form Completed or by their email. They send the same emails as the inbox. Developers can use the store API the same way.
