Run a waitlist before launch

Put a product in waitlist mode so its page collects emails instead of selling, then open sales and email everyone who joined.

Open your product in your store, find Waitlist mode, and turn it on. Your page shows Join the waitlist instead of the buy box, and nobody can buy until you click Open sales.

Turn on waitlist mode

    Open the product

    Open the product in your store and find the Waitlist mode section.

    Turn it on

    Turn on Waitlist mode. Add a day in Opens on if you have one. The page shows it as "Opens Nov 3".

    Publish

    Publish the product. You don't need Stripe yet. People can join the waitlist right away.

Your store page card says Coming soon, and its button reads Join waitlist.

Choose where signups go

Send signups toYour Eden email list, Kit, beehiiv, GoHighLevel, or Substack. Out of the box it follows your store default.
Tag signupsThe tags every signup gets. Leave it empty and Eden makes one called "Waitlist: your product name".

The tag is how you reach these people later, so keep it. See Connect your email list to add Kit, beehiiv, GoHighLevel, or Substack.

See who's waiting

The Waitlist mode section shows how many people joined. Your products list and the Eden phone app show it too, like "Coming soon · 142 waiting".

Open sales

    Click Open sales

    Click Open sales in the Waitlist mode section. The buy box comes back on your page.

  2. 02

    Check the launch email

    Eden opens a draft email to everyone with the waitlist tag. Edit it, then send it like any broadcast.

Nothing is sent until you send it.

What doesn't work in waitlist mode

  • Ask me products and call bookings. They don't have a product page to wait on.
  • Bundles, order bumps, and upsells skip the product until sales open.
