Give your Custom AI a routine

Put a Custom AI on a schedule so it runs a task for you, like a weekly draft or a Monday research sweep.

Open the Custom AI, go to Configure, and click New routine in the Routines card. Each run opens a fresh chat with that Custom AI, using its instructions and knowledge.

Add a routine

    Open the Routines card

    Open the Custom AI and go to Configure. For a ready-made one from Explore AIs, the card is on the Overview instead.

    Pick a suggestion or start blank

    Built-ins list ideas under Suggested for their name. Click Use to fill in the form, or click New routine.

    Set the schedule

    Give it a name and a prompt, then choose Daily, Weekdays, Weekly, or Monthly and a time. Click Create routine.

When a run finishes, its chat shows at the top of your chat list with a blue dot. Routines are yours. Other members set up their own.

Other ways to add one

  • While building it: tell the guided builder the schedule, like "a strategist that runs every Monday at 8am." The routine is created with the Custom AI.
  • In its chat: say "every Monday at 8am, run my weekly sweep." It attaches to that Custom AI.
  • From Claude or another agent on the Eden MCP: ask it to set a schedule for the Custom AI it just built.

Every routine, with or without a Custom AI, is listed in Settings → Routines.
