Add a signup form to your website
Put an Eden signup form on Webflow, WordPress, Framer, or any site. Signups join your email list or a newsletter.
Open Your store → Email → Signup forms and click New signup form. Pick what people join, click Save changes, then click Get code at the top and paste the code into your site. Needs Starter or above, like the rest of Email marketing.
Make a form
- 01
Start one
In Email, open Signup forms and click New signup form. It opens with a live preview on the left and three tabs on the right: Content, Look, and Settings. Click the name at the top to rename it. Only you see the name.
- 02
Pick what people join
In Settings, under People who sign up join, pick Your email list or A newsletter. Add tags under Tags they get if you want them.
- 03
Set the fields and words
In Content, turn First name off, optional, or required. Click Add a question for up to 3 more. Change the heading, button, and what shows after they sign up.
- 04
Save and copy the code
Click Save changes, then Get code. Pick a code type and click Copy.
From a newsletter, you can skip the setup: open Newsletter → Subscribers and click Get the signup form under Signups from your website. It makes that newsletter's form the first time and opens it.
Pick a code type
| Code | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Script | Most sites. It matches your site's look and works on pages that load late. |
| Iframe | Your site builder strips scripts. It can't read your site, so pick Light or Dark. |
| Plain HTML | You're a developer and want to style it with your own CSS. |
Changes you save show up on your site by themselves for Script and Iframe. Plain HTML is a copy, so paste it again after you change fields or words.
Paste it into your site builder
In the Get code window, open Where to paste it under the code for these steps:
| Site | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| Webflow | An Embed element. Paste, then publish. |
| WordPress | A Custom HTML block in the block editor. |
| Squarespace | A Code block (Business plan and up). Turn off Display Source. |
| Framer | Insert an Embed, choose HTML, and paste. |
| Shopify | A Custom Liquid section in the theme editor. |
| Wix | Embed Code → Embed HTML, choose Code, and paste. |
Anywhere else, paste it into the page's HTML where the form should go.
Match your website's look
In the Look tab, type your site's address in Match your website and click Match it. Eden reads your font and button colors and sets Style to Match my site. You can still change the corners and layout there. Click More: colors, font, width for the button color, font, and width.
Where signups go
- Each signup becomes a contact in Audience → Subscribers, with the tags you picked.
- Answers to your questions save on the contact. So do the page they signed up on and any UTM tags.
- A newsletter form adds them as free subscribers. They get its welcome email once email marketing is on.
- People who unsubscribed before are never added back.
Keep other sites from using it
In the Settings tab, list your sites under Where it can be used. Then nobody else can put your form on theirs. Sub-domains count. Leave it empty to allow any site.
Delete a form
Click ⋯ at the top right, then Delete form. Forms already on your website stop working.
If something's not working
- The form shows nothing: the badge next to the name says Off. Turn on Taking signups in Settings.
- "This form can't be used on this website": add that site under Where it can be used in Settings.
- A newsletter form stopped working: in the newsletter's Settings, turn on Free signups and Show the newsletter page.
