Add buyers to your email list with n8n

Catch Eden's purchase webhook in an n8n workflow and add each buyer to Mailchimp, MailerLite, or any list n8n supports.

Make a workflow with a Webhook node, paste its Production URL into your store's Integrations tab, then add a node for your email tool. Works on n8n Cloud, or self-hosted at a public https:// address.

Set it up

  1. 01

    Catch the webhook

    In n8n, create a workflow and add a Webhook node. Set HTTP Method to POST and Respond to Immediately. Copy the Production URL, not the Test URL.

  2. 02

    Paste it into Eden

    In your store, open Integrations, paste the URL, and click Save and turn on. You can ignore the signing secret.

  3. 03

    Send a test

    Click Listen for test event, then claim or buy one of your products with a different email.

  4. 04

    Keep only purchases

    Add an If node: {{ $json.body.event }} is equal to purchase.created. Without it, a refund adds the buyer again.

  5. 05

    Add the buyer to your list

    On the true branch, add your email tool's node. Map {{ $json.body.buyerEmail }} to the email and {{ $json.body.productTitle }} to a tag. Save and Activate the workflow.

To act on refunds, use the false branch and check for purchase.refunded.

If nothing arrives

  • Make sure the workflow is Active and Eden has the Production URL.
  • Self-hosted n8n needs a public https:// address. Eden refuses http://, localhost, and raw IP addresses.
  • Keep Respond on Immediately. Eden waits up to 8 seconds, then retries once.
