Connecting Readwise to Eden

Sync your Readwise highlights into your Library, then search them, chat with them, and add them to boards.

Go to Settings → Integrations, paste your Readwise access token under Readwise, and click Connect. Your highlights come into your Library. On Free you import by hand, up to 100 items. Automatic sync is on Personal and above.

Connect Readwise

    Open Integrations

    Open Settings and pick the Integrations tab.

    Get your token

    On the Readwise card, click Get your token. Readwise opens your access token page. Copy the token.

    Connect

    Paste the token into the field and click Connect. The first sync starts right away. The card shows a count as highlights arrive.

On the Free plan, click Sync now whenever you want new highlights. Imports stop at 100 items.

Find your highlights

Highlights live in your Library.

  • Open the Library filter and pick Highlights under Type to see them all.
  • Pick Readwise under Source to see only Readwise. You get extra filters for Types, Tags, and Authors.
  • Search the Library to find a highlight by meaning.
  • In chat, ask something like "find my highlights about pricing." Eden searches them for you.

Add highlights to a board

Select one or more highlights in the Library. In the bar at the bottom:

  • Add to board puts each highlight on a board as a quote card.
  • Chat with starts a chat about the ones you picked.

Keep it up to date

  • On Personal and above, Eden syncs new highlights each time you open your Library.
  • To sync now, go to Settings → Integrations and click Sync now.
  • If a sync fails, the button reads Retry sync.
  • Each connection syncs into one Library at a time. Use Move here on the card to switch it to the workspace you're in.

Disconnect Readwise

Go to Settings → Integrations and click Disconnect on the Readwise card.

Kindle and Snipd

You can also sync Kindle highlights and Snipd snips. They land in the same Highlights filter.
