Creating items directly in the Library

Make notes and cards, upload PDFs and images, and paste links to save them, all without leaving the Library. Each becomes an item you can reuse anywhere.

You don't have to be on a board to add something to Eden. Create notes, upload files, and save links straight from the Library, and each one becomes an item you can use anywhere.

The Library isn't only where saved things collect. It's also a place you can create from directly. Here are the ways.

Write a note or card in place

Open the create menu in the Library to make a new note or card without leaving the page. A card editor sheet opens right there, so you can write and save in one spot.

  • A note is for longer writing: outlines, drafts, anything with paragraphs.
  • A card is a quick thought captured fast, one idea at a time.

Jot something fast with quick-compose

When you just want to get an idea down before it's gone, quick-compose lets you type a note and save it in a couple of seconds. No naming, no filing, no board to pick. Capture now, shape it later.

Drag in files

Drag PDFs and images straight into the Library from your desktop. Eden uploads them and saves each as an item, ready to open, read, and highlight. This is the fastest way to bring a stack of PDFs or a set of screenshots into your workspace at once.

Paste a link

Paste any URL into the Library to save it as a link card. Eden enriches the link at save time, pulling the title and a preview so it reads as a proper item rather than a raw string of text.
