Creating items directly in the Library
Make documents, cards, and tables, upload files, and save links without leaving the Library.
Click New at the top of the Library, or right-click an empty spot, and pick what to make. You can also paste a link or drop files straight onto the Library.
Make something new

Open the menu
Click New at the top right of the Library, or right-click empty space in the grid.

Pick what to create
Choose from the list below. Each new item saves to your Library right away.
| Menu item | What you get |

| Insert a link | A box to paste a URL. Eden adds the title and a preview. |
| Create a document | A new document for longer writing. |
| Create a card | A small card for one quick thought, added to the top of the grid. |
| Create a table | A new table that opens full screen. |
| Upload media | A file picker for images, video, audio, PDFs, and .md files. |
Paste a link
Copy a URL and press ⌘ V (Ctrl V on Windows) while the Library is open. Don't click into the
search bar first. Eden saves it as a link card.
Drop in files
Drag files from your computer onto the Library. A Drop to add to Library overlay shows when you're over it.
- Images, PDFs, EPUBs, video, and audio become items you can open.
- A
.mdfile becomes a document. - Drop many files at once to bring in a batch.
Everything you make here is a normal Library item. You can put it on a board, tag it, or read it like anything else.
The Library: everything you've saved, in one place
The Library holds every link, PDF, image, note, table, saved post, and highlight in your workspace. Boards are optional views on top.
