Schedule Facebook posts with Eden

Pages only — not personal profiles or Groups

Facebook scheduling works with Facebook Pages. This is a Meta rule, not an Eden one:

• Personal profiles can't be connected. Facebook's API doesn't allow automated posting to a personal timeline.
• Groups aren't supported. Meta retired the Group publishing API in 2024, so no scheduling tool can post to Groups anymore.

If you don't have a Page yet, create one (it's free) and make sure you're an admin of it before connecting.

Connect your Page

   Open Connected accounts

   In Eden, go to Settings → Scheduling → Connected accounts and click Connect accounts. Facebook links in the same one-step flow as X, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, and TikTok.

   Pick the Page and approve permissions

   On Facebook's own login, choose the Page you want to publish from and approve every permission. If you manage several Pages, select the right one — that's the Page Eden will post to.

   Close the window — Eden syncs

   When the window closes, Facebook appears with a green Connected badge. If it doesn't show right away, click the refresh icon next to “Connect accounts.”

What you can post

In the Schedule composer, select Facebook as a target (it appears once your Page is connected) and compose as usual. Facebook supports:

• Text posts — up to ~63,000 characters.
• Link posts — paste a URL and Facebook generates the link preview automatically.
• A single photo, or a multi-photo post — multiple images publish as a native swipeable multi-photo post.
• Video — a single video to the feed.
• Reels — attach a single video and turn on Post as Reel to publish to the Reels tab instead of the feed.
• First comment — auto-post a comment right after your post goes live (great for a link or CTA), immediately, after a delay, or once it hits a like threshold.

Reels: a couple of limits

• Single video only. The Post as Reel toggle appears when exactly one video is attached.
• Meta's rate limit. Facebook caps Reels at 30 per Page per 24 hours (a rolling window). Beyond that, Facebook will reject further Reels until the window clears.

What to expect

• Posts from Eden's servers, on time. Unlike Substack, Facebook publishes server-side — your computer doesn't need to be on.
• Honest failures. If a post can't publish (for example, a disconnected Page or a mixed-media post), it lands in the “Attention needed” section at the top of your Queue with a plain-language reason and one-click Publish now / Reschedule actions.
• One credit per post. Publishing costs 1 credit when it goes out, no matter how many platforms it targets — posting to Facebook, X, and LinkedIn together is still 1 credit.
