Scheduling troubleshooting
Fix posts that failed, missed their time, or won't schedule, and accounts that won't connect.
A post that fails or misses its time shows under Attention needed in the side list of Publish → Scheduled. Click it to see why. Fix the cause, then click Publish now or Reschedule.
Fix a failed post
On each post under Attention needed:
- Reconnect opens Settings → Social accounts when an account needs a fresh login.
- Publish now tries again right away.
- Reschedule opens the post so you can pick a new time.
- Move to draft takes it off the schedule.
- Dismiss hides the warning.
Eden also retries short glitches on its own before it flags a post.
Posts that failed
| What you see | Fix |

| "Not signed in to…" | Click Reconnect, log in again, then Publish now. |
| "Publishing is paused for this workspace" | A platform flagged one of your accounts. Reconnecting won't help. Contact support. |
| X rejected a post over 280 characters | Long posts need X Premium. Shorten it, split it into a thread, or turn on X Premium if you do. |
| X repost failed, mentions advanced automations | Turn on Advanced automations under X in Settings → Social accounts, then Publish now. |
| Instagram or Threads "couldn't fetch the media" | Click Publish now. Eden also retries on its own. |
| "Some platforms posted; others didn't." | Check which platform failed, fix it, then Publish now. |
| "Missed its scheduled time" | Click Publish now or Reschedule. |
| Substack "not signed in" | Sign in at substack.com in the Chrome that has the Eden extension, then Publish now. |
| Substack "may have succeeded" | Check Substack for the note before you retry, so you don't post it twice. |
Posts that won't schedule

| Needs at least one image or video. Text-only won't work. | |
| YouTube | Needs one video and a title. Shorts must be 3 minutes or less. |
| TikTok | Needs a video or photos. |
| Several images or one video. Not both in one post. | |
| X | Videos must be H.264 with AAC audio. Re-encode the clip if not. |
Posts at the wrong hour? Check the Timezone in Settings → Social accounts. Each schedule has its own.
Accounts that won't connect
| What you see | Fix |
|---|---|
| Account linked but Eden says Not connected | Click the refresh button next to Connect accounts. Check you're in the right workspace. |
| Instagram login loops or shows "This page isn't working" | Sign in at instagram.com in the same browser first. Turn off VPNs and ad blockers. For error 429, wait 30 to 60 minutes. |
| Instagram won't link at all | It must be a Business or Creator account. |
| The wrong Instagram account connects | Open a private window, sign in to the right account at instagram.com, then connect from that window. |
| Facebook won't link | Only Pages you manage can connect. Pick the Page and approve every permission. |
| X warns it rejected the messaging permission | Ignore it. Eden doesn't use X DMs. Posting works. |
| Your browser blocked the popup | Allow popups for Eden, then click Connect accounts again. |
