AI follow-ups in Instagram DMs

When someone replies to your Auto-DM, the AI walks them through your steps, one at a time. Needs the same plan as Auto-DM (Pro or Max).

Add an AI follow-up

   Pick the automation

   On Automations, each card shows the trigger, then the DM, then When they reply. Click Let AI take over.

   Draft it or use a template

   Type what should happen, like "make them follow me, then ask for their email, then send my guide", and click Draft it. Or pick a template under Or start from a template.

   Check the steps

   The flow opens full screen. Click any step to change it. Click Test to try it as if you were the person. Nothing is sent.

   Turn it on

   Flip the switch in the top right to Live. Until then it's Off and answers nobody.

What a step does

Step 1 is your automation's DM. It goes out word for word, with its link, and the AI only starts when someone replies. To change it, click step 1, then Edit in the automation. Each step after it has:

• Message: what to send. Pick AI adapts it to fit their reply, or Send exactly.
• Move on when: plain words the AI checks their reply against, like "they gave an email".
• Save from their reply: an Email, Name, Phone, or An answer (like their goal).
• When it passes: Add them to your Eden email list with tags. Turn on Subscribe them to your emails if they should get your emails too.
• Links you add. Only these links are ever sent. The AI can't add its own. With Track clicks on, they go out as short links and the step's card shows how many people clicked. Untick it to send the exact link.

Turn it back into a plain Auto-DM

On Automations, click the x next to the AI follow-up on the automation's card, then Remove the AI flow. Or open the flow and click Remove AI flow in the top bar.

• Your automation keeps sending its DM, exactly as it is. The AI stops replying.
• Emails already added to your list stay there.
• If no other automation uses the flow, it's deleted too.

When someone needs you

Open Your store → Auto-DM → Conversations. People land there when they ask for you, say one of your handoff words, or the AI runs out of tries on a step.

• Click someone to read the chat. Reply from Eden within 24 hours of their last message, or reply in Instagram.
• Replying in Instagram takes them off the list on its own. Or click Mark done.
• Clear all marks everyone done at once.

Flow settings

Click Settings in the flow's top bar.

Setting	What it does
Voice	Who's replying and how. The AI only answers from this and your steps.
Hand it to you	Extra words that hand the chat to you, and the message it sends then.
Tell me when	Phone pushes when someone shares their email, asks for you, or finishes.
Limits	Tries per step and Replies per person per day.

Keep Say it's an assistant on. It adds a short note to the first reply.

Good to know

• It only replies. It never messages first, and it stops once the flow ends.
• Instagram only allows replies within 24 hours of their last message.
• "Stop" always ends it for that person.
• The People tab shows everyone in the flow, what they shared, and when.
• Up to 20 flows per workspace and 12 steps per flow.
• You can also ask Eden in your store's chat to build or change a flow.
