How AI credits work
What costs credits, how many each plan gets, when they reset, and how to buy more.
Chat replies, boosts, and AI images all spend from one credit balance. Searching, tools, and publishing are free. See your balance and history in Settings → Usage.
How many credits you get

Free has no credits, but you get 3 free chat messages, once, on Eve Fast. A line under the chat box counts them down. After the third, the chat box becomes a Keep going for $5 card: click Try Eden for $5 to get the Discover plan and its 50 credits.
Bought a Custom AI from a creator's store? You get 50 one-time credits to chat with it, even on Free. You get them once, not once per purchase.
Credits belong to the workspace. Everyone in it spends from the same balance. On Agency Lite and Agency, every brand workspace on the plan spends from that same pool too.

Pick the model with the switcher on the chat box. Chat starts on Eve Fast.
- Very long chats cost extra. A turn with a lot of context adds a surcharge on top of the reply. On Eve Fast it starts at 200,000 tokens. On other models it starts at 100,000. It's capped per turn.
- Deep Social and Deep Synthesis bill by how much they read.
- Eden MCP calls from Claude or other AI apps cost 0.1 to 0.5 credits for searches and research. Reading your own boards and notes, and every save, is free.
- Failed replies are free. If a reply errors or you stop it early, you aren't charged.
When credits reset
Monthly credits reset once a month on the day you subscribed, even on yearly plans. Unused monthly credits don't carry over. The Resets line under your balance shows the exact time.
If you upgrade mid-cycle, your monthly amount switches to the new plan's amount right away.
On the $5 plan's free month of Pro (or 3 free days of Pro), you keep your 50 credits. Pro's 750 monthly credits start with your first paid Pro month.
Buy more credits
The workspace owner can buy a one-time pack in Settings → Usage:

- Bought credits never expire.
- Eden spends your monthly credits first, then bought ones.
- Turn on Auto-refresh when I hit 10 credits to buy a pack automatically when you run low.
- Or turn on Auto-upgrade my plan when I run low on credits to move to the next plan instead. It charges your saved card, prorated. On the top plan it buys credits instead.
- X Auto-DMs need one of these two turned on.
When you run out
A popup appears when you try the next paid action. On a paid plan, buy a pack or upgrade. On Free, it offers the $5 Discover plan. Search and browsing keep working.
The 3 free chat messages are for chat in the Eden app only. Eden MCP from Claude or other apps needs credits.
Instagram Auto-DMs pause at zero and start again once you have credits.
Credits from a creator's product
Some products you buy from creators include AI credits. The product page says so. They land as bought credits, so they never expire.
If a charge looks wrong, email [email protected] with your workspace name and the rough time.
