Scheduling

Schedule TikTok posts with Eden

Connect TikTok, then schedule a video with a caption — plus the requirements, formats, and limits to know before you post.

·3 min read

Eden schedules and publishes your TikTok videos alongside the rest of your networks — from Eden's servers, so they post whether or not your computer is on. TikTok is video-only, so the one rule to remember is simple: every TikTok post needs a video. This guide covers connecting your account, composing a post, and the TikTok-specific limits to know.

Connect your account

  1. 01

    Open Connected accounts

In Eden, go to Settings → Scheduling → Connected accounts and click Connect accounts. TikTok links in the same one-step flow as X, LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, and Facebook.

  2. 02

    Log in and approve permissions

On TikTok's own login, sign in to the account you want to publish from and approve the content and posting permissions. Those permissions are what let Eden publish your videos on schedule.

  3. 03

Close the window — Eden syncs

When the window closes, TikTok appears with a green Connected badge. If it doesn't show right away, click the refresh icon next to “Connect accounts.”

Compose a post

  1. 01

    Add your video

In the Schedule composer, select TikTok as a target (it appears once your account is connected) and attach a single video. The video is required — a TikTok post can't go out without one.

  2. 02

    Write your caption

Add a caption up to 2,200 characters. That's the only text TikTok carries — there's no separate body or link field.

  3. 03

    Pick a time and save

Choose a time (or Publish now) and save. Your post appears in the Queue and publishes from Eden's servers when it's due.

Video format and limits

  • MP4 (H.264). TikTok accepts MP4 video encoded with H.264.
  • Up to ~10 minutes. Most accounts can publish videos up to roughly 10 minutes long.
  • Vertical 9:16 is preferred. Other aspect ratios still publish, but TikTok letterboxes them — shoot or export vertical for the cleanest result.

What to expect

  • Posts from Eden's servers, on time. TikTok publishes server-side — your computer doesn't need to be on.
  • Video required. A TikTok post needs a single video; text-only and image posts won't schedule.
  • Caption up to 2,200 characters. That's the only text TikTok carries.
  • Honest failures. If a post can't publish (for example, a disconnected account or a missing video), it lands in the “Attention needed” section at the top of your Queue with a plain- language reason and one-click Publish now / Reschedule actions.
  • One credit per post. Publishing costs 1 credit when it goes out, no matter how many platforms it targets — posting to TikTok, X, and LinkedIn together is still 1 credit.

If a TikTok post won't behave, the Scheduling troubleshooting guide covers the common snags, and Connecting your accounts walks through the connection flow in detail.
