Schedule X (Twitter) posts with Eden

Connect your account

   Open Connected accounts

   In Eden, go to Settings → Scheduling → Connected accounts and click Connect accounts. X links in the same one-step flow as LinkedIn, Threads, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.

   Approve on X's own login

   On X's official login, sign in to the account you want to publish from and approve every permission. Eden never sees your X password — the connection happens entirely on X's side.

   Close the window — Eden syncs

   When the window closes, X appears with a green Connected badge. If it doesn't show right away, click the refresh icon next to “Connect accounts.”

What you can post

In the Schedule composer, select X as a target (it appears once your account is connected) and compose as usual. X supports:

• Text posts — standard posts cap at 280 characters.
• Native threads — each segment in the composer becomes its own tweet, published as a connected thread.
• Media — up to 4 images, or exactly 1 video, or 1 GIF per post. These never mix in a single post.
• Reposts and quote posts — paste a link to another creator's post to schedule a repost (retweet) or, with your own commentary, a quote post. Details below.
• First comment — auto-post a comment right after your post goes live (great for a link or CTA), immediately, after a delay, or once it hits a like threshold.
• Auto-retweet — repost your own post to your timeline a few hours later, up to twice, with an optional auto-remove to keep your timeline clean. This one is X-only.

Repost or quote another creator's post

You can schedule a repost (retweet) or a quote post of any post on X — just paste its link into the composer. What happens depends on whether you add your own words:

• Link on its own → a native repost. No new post is created; at the scheduled time the post is retweeted onto your timeline, exactly like tapping the repost button on X.
• Link plus your commentary (link at the start or end of the text) → a quote post. The link disappears from your text and renders as the quoted card underneath, just like quoting on X itself.

The moment the composer sees the link, it tells you which one you're getting — a banner reads “Publishes as a repost of @handle's post” or “Quote-posts @handle's post”, with a preview of the referenced post underneath. The same repost/quote icon appears on the post's card in your Queue, so scheduled reposts are easy to spot later.

A few rules of thumb:

• Only a link at the very start or end of the post converts it. A link in the middle of a sentence posts as-is.
• Attaching media alongside a bare link makes it a quote post — a repost can't carry media.
• Threads never convert; segments publish as a normal thread.

Media: a couple of rules

• Never mix media types. A post can carry multiple images OR a single video OR one GIF — not a combination. If you attach both an image and a video, split them across separate posts.
• Use an X-compatible video format. Video should be H.264 / AAC MP4, the standard format X accepts. Other codecs can fail when X processes the post even if the upload looked fine.

What to expect

• Posts from Eden's servers, on time. Unlike Substack, X publishes server-side — your computer doesn't need to be on.
• Honest failures. If a post can't publish (for example, a disconnected account, mixed media, or long-form text on a non-Premium account), it lands in the “Attention needed” section at the top of your Queue with a plain-language reason and one-click Publish now / Reschedule actions.
• Publishing is free. Posts don't spend credits when they go out, no matter how many platforms they target.
