Schedule X (Twitter) posts

Connect X, then schedule posts, threads, reposts, quote posts, and first comments from Eden.

Eden posts to X for you: single posts, threads, reposts, quote posts, and a first comment. Connect X in Settings → Social accounts, then write your post in Publish. Needs Starter or above. The $5 Discover plan can schedule 3 posts in total.

Connect your account

Open Social accounts
Go to Settings → Social accounts and click Connect accounts (or Manage if you already linked one).

Approve on X
Sign in to the X account you want to post from and approve access.

Check it's connected
Back in Eden, X shows Connected. If it doesn't, click the refresh button next to Connect accounts.

Turn on advanced automations (optional)
Under your X row, turn on Advanced automations. You need this for reposts, auto-repost, and X Articles.

What you can post

Type	Limits
Text	280 characters. Up to 25,000 with X Premium.
Images	1 to 4 per post. JPG, PNG, or WebP.
GIF	1 per post, up to 15 MB.
Video	1 per post. MP4 or MOV, up to 512 MB. 2 minutes 20 seconds, or up to 4 hours with X Premium.
Thread	Click Add reply (`⌘ Enter`, or `Ctrl Enter` on Windows) under a post. Each part posts as its own tweet with its media.
First comment	Up to 280 characters. Posts right away, after 5 to 60 minutes, or after 10 to 100 likes.
Auto repost	Reposts your post 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours later, up to 3 times. Can remove it after 24 or 48 hours. Needs advanced automations.
Article	Pick Article from the Post menu. Needs advanced automations and an eligible Premium, Premium+, Business, or Organization account.

Repost or quote someone's post

Paste a link to an X post at the very start or end of your text.

Link only: Eden reposts it on your timeline. No new post is made. Needs advanced automations.
Link plus your words: Eden quote-posts it.
A banner under the composer says which one you'll get.
A link in the middle of your text posts as a normal link.
Adding media to a bare link turns it into a quote post.
Threads never turn into reposts.

Good to know

Don't mix media. A post has images, or one GIF, or one video. Never a mix.
Long posts need Premium. Over 280 characters, X rejects the post unless you pay for X Premium. If you do, turn on X Premium under your X row to hide the warning.
Long videos need Premium too. Videos over 2 minutes 20 seconds only post on X Premium accounts. Without it, X rejects the post. Trim the video to 2:20 if you don't have Premium.
Use H.264 MP4 video. Other codecs can upload fine and then fail when X processes them.
Big photos are fine. Eden shrinks images that are over X's size limit before posting.
Ignore the DM warning. X may say it rejected the messaging permission when you connect. Posting still works.
Your computer can be off. X posts go out from Eden's servers.

If a post fails

Failed posts move to Attention needed at the top of your queue with the reason. Click Publish now to retry or Reschedule to pick a new time.

Over 280 characters: X needs an active Premium plan. Shorten it or split it into a thread.
A repost failed: turn on Advanced automations under your X row, then retry.
Not signed in to X: click Reconnect X on the card and connect again.
