Schedule Instagram posts

Connect your account

   Open Social accounts

   Go to Settings → Social accounts and click Connect accounts. If you've already linked another network, the button says Manage.

   Sign in to Instagram

   A window opens with Instagram's own login. Sign in and approve every permission. Let the window finish on its own.

   Check it's connected

   Instagram now shows Connected. If it doesn't, click the refresh icon next to the button.

What you can post

Post type	What you add	Limits
Post	1 photo	JPG, PNG, GIF, or WebP. Up to 8 MB. Bigger photos are shrunk for you.
Carousel	2 to 20 photos or videos. You can mix them.	Videos in a carousel: up to 60 seconds and 100 MB each.
Reel	1 video	3 seconds to 15 minutes, up to 1 GB, MP4 or MOV.
Story	1 photo or 1 video	Videos 3 to 60 seconds. Caption isn't shown. Web only.
Caption	Your post text	Up to 2,200 characters.
First comment	Posts under your post after it goes live	Up to 2,200 characters.

Eden picks the post type from your media. The composer shows which one you'll get.

Add a first comment

Turn on First comment in the post settings and write it. Choose when it posts:

• Immediately, or after 5, 15, or 30 minutes, or 1 hour.
• After the post gets 10, 25, 50, or 100 likes.

Post a Trial Reel

With a single video, open the Instagram tab in the composer and turn on Trial Reel. Instagram shows it to non-followers first.

• Turn on Auto-graduate to let Instagram share it with your followers if it does well.
• Leave it off to graduate it yourself in the Instagram app.

Pick a Reel cover

With a single video, a Cover card shows on the Instagram tab. Instagram uses the first frame unless you pick one.

• Click Upload and pick a photo. On the web you can also drop one on the card.
• Eden crops it to your video's shape for you.
• Click Change to swap it, or the x to go back to the first frame.
• If Facebook gets the same video and has no cover yet, it gets this one too.

Stories don't have covers, so the card hides when Post as Story is on.

Add music to a Reel

With a single video, a Music card shows on the Instagram tab, next to Cover.

   Find a song

   Click Add music. Search for a song or artist, or pick a category under Browse, like Lofi or Upbeat. Songs you used lately show under Recent.

   Pick it

   Click a song. It shows on the card with its length.

   Set the mix

   Drag Song and Video sound to set how loud each one plays. Both start at full volume.

• Click Change to pick another song, or the x to remove it.
• Songs come from Instagram's own licensed library. Some songs aren't offered in every country.
• Music only works on Reels. Instagram doesn't let apps add songs to photos, carousels, or Stories. To add a song to one photo, post it as a Reel (below).

Post a photo as a Reel

On the web, with one photo, turn on Post as a Reel on the Instagram tab. Eden turns the photo into a short Reel so you can add music.

• Pick a Length: 5, 7, 10, or 15 seconds. It starts at 7.
• Your photo sits in the middle of a tall frame, over a blurred copy of itself. It doesn't move.
• The Music card shows once it's on.
• It can't be on with Post as Story at the same time.

Switch to Facebook login for music

Instagram only allows music on accounts connected through a Facebook Page. If yours is connected with Instagram's own login, the Music card shows Switch to Facebook login.

   Link a Facebook Page

   In Instagram, link your Business or Creator account to a Facebook Page you manage.

   Switch

   Click Switch to Facebook login, then Continue. You can also click Music off · Fix on the Instagram row in Settings → Social accounts.

   Sign in with Facebook

   In the window that opens, click Instagram and sign in with Facebook. Approve every permission.

Instagram disconnects for a moment while you switch. Your scheduled posts stay.

If you use Auto-DMs, they pause until you finish, and comments in that time don't get a DM. Eden checks them when you're back. If messages aren't on yet, it asks you to reconnect once more and approve every permission.

Post to your Story

On the Instagram tab, turn on Post as Story, or click Make a Story card to turn your caption into a tall image. See Schedule Instagram Stories.

Good to know

• Instagram only connects Business or Creator accounts. Switch your account type in the Instagram app first.
• Every post needs a photo or video. If a post is text only, Eden skips Instagram and sends it everywhere else.
• Only about the first 125 characters of a caption show before "more." Put your hook first.
• Captions can have up to 30 hashtags.
• Links in captions aren't clickable on Instagram.
• Videos wider than 1920 pixels, like 4K, are scaled down for you.
• Instagram allows 100 posts per account in 24 hours.
• Turn on Made with AI to add Instagram's AI label. See Label posts made with AI.

If a post fails

Failed posts show under Attention needed in Publish, with Publish now and Reschedule buttons.

Message	What to do
Instagram couldn't fetch the media for this post	Click Publish now. Eden also retries on its own.
Not signed in to Instagram	Reconnect in Settings → Social accounts, then retry.
Publishing is paused for this workspace	A network flagged one of your accounts. Reconnecting won't fix it. Contact Eden support.
Music on Reels needs Instagram connected through a Facebook Page	Switch to Facebook login (above), or remove the song.
Instagram can't use that song for this account	Pick another song or remove it, then schedule it again.
