Host a live session on Eden

Go live right now

• In your store, open Calendar → Events and click New event → Go live now.
• Name it and click Open studio. The link is copied for you.
• Click Go live when you're ready. Viewers can join from the link right away.

Schedule a live room

   Click New event

   In your store, open Calendar → Events and click New event → Schedule for later.

   Name it and pick a time

   Add a name, an optional description, when it starts, and how long it runs. Leave Record this session on to keep a recording, or switch it off. Click Create.

   Share the link

   Eden copies the link for you. Click Copy link on the row to copy it again.

• Anyone with the link can watch. They sign in to Eden first. It's free.
• The same link plays the recording after the call.
• To change the name or time, click ⋯ → Edit. To remove it, click ⋯ → Delete. The link stops working.
• Upcoming lists every event in your store: live rooms, community events, and cohort and workshop sessions. Past shows how each live session went, with its recording. See Share your events.

Try it first in a test room

• In your store, open Calendar → Events and click Test room.
• Check your camera, mic, and Share screen. No product is needed.
• Click Invite to copy a link. Up to 3 people can join you to test.
• Click Go live to see the live view, then End session to go back. It's only practice.
• Chat works but isn't saved. Nothing is recorded and no live hours are used.

Set a session to Eden Live

   Open the cohort or workshop

   In your store, open the product and go to the Schedule step (Date on a workshop).

   Pick Eden Live

   Under each session, switch Your own link to Eden Live. No join link is needed.

   Save

   Buyers now see Join live on that session.

Go live

• The studio opens to you an hour before the start. Click Open studio on Events in your store, or Go live on the cohort.
• You get a preview only you and your co-hosts can see. Turn on your mic, camera, or Share screen.
• Click Go live. Eden counts 3, 2, 1, then you're live and the recording starts. Click Cancel to stop the count.
• Click End session, then click again to end it for everyone. Or click Leave → End session for everyone.
• Leave → Leave without ending steps you out. The session keeps running.

If you drop out, the session keeps going. Click Rejoin to come back.

Set your name tag and layout

• Click the name tag button in the bar. Add your name and a title, like "Founder of Eden". Click Save.
• Your tag shows on your camera for everyone and in the recording. Eden keeps it for next time.
• Co-hosts set their own name tags the same way.
• Click the layout button to pick how a screen share looks for everyone:
  • Side by side: the screen on the left, cameras on the right. Nothing covers your slides.
  • Bubble: your camera in a small circle in the corner.
  • Screen only: just the screen.

Invite a co-host

• In the room, click Invite and copy the co-host link. Or click ⋯ → Invite co-hosts next to it on Events.
• Co-hosts sign in to Eden, then wait with you before you go live.
• They can use their mic, camera, and screen share, and bring viewers on stage. Only you can go live, end the session, or mute people.
• Up to 5 co-hosts per session. They don't count toward live hours or room size.
• Click Remove next to a name to take them out. New link stops the old link from working.

Mute or remove someone

• In the room, click People next to Chat to see who's in.
• Chat off stops someone from chatting or reacting. Click Chat on to undo it.
• Mute turns off a co-host's mic. They can turn it back on.
• Remove takes someone out right away. Click it twice to confirm. They can't rejoin this session.
• Removed people show under Removed. Click Let back in to undo it.
• You can also hover any chat message to mute or remove the person who sent it.

Bring someone on stage

• In the room, click People, then Invite next to anyone watching.
• They see your invite with their own camera first. When they click Join stage, they're on camera next to you, for everyone and in the recording.
• Up to 5 people can be on stage at once, on top of your co-hosts.
• People on stage can use their mic, camera, and Share screen, like a co-host.
• Click Back next to their name to send them back to watching. They can also click Leave stage.

Let viewers raise a hand

• Turn on Raised hands at the top of People. Viewers get a Raise hand button.
• Raised hands show under Hands up, oldest first. Click Invite to bring someone up.
• To have it on from the start, switch on Allow raise hand when you set up an Eden Live session or a live room.
• It's off unless you turn it on. Turning it off clears the hands. You can invite anyone either way.

Show an offer on screen

Set up offers ahead, then show one with a tap during the live. Viewers see a slim bar along the bottom of the video and open it in a new tab. The live keeps playing.

   Set them up ahead

   On Calendar → Events, click ⋯ → Set up offers on the session. Or open the Offers tab next to Chat in the studio. Click New offer.

   Pick what to show

   Choose A product from your live products, or A link to any page.

   Add your own words

   Write a Headline (like "Founding price, tonight only") and the Button words (like "Join the Sprint"). Both are optional. The preview shows the bar viewers will see. Click Save.

   Show it when you're live

   Click the Show offer button (the tag) in the bar under the video and pick one. Or click Show on the Offers tab.

• Price for a product: Show price, Crossed out, or Hide. Crossed out shows a higher price struck through next to the real one. Type it, or leave it empty to use your product's own crossed-out price. Checkout always charges the real price.
• 15 minute countdown is on by default. It starts when you show the offer, and the bar goes away when time's up.
• Click Take down on the bar to remove it. Showing another offer swaps it.
• People who join late see it too. Only you can show offers, not co-hosts.
• Nothing shows until you're live. In a test room, the people you invite see it.

What viewers see

• Before the room opens, the link shows the title, host, and time. Keep the page open and it joins by itself 15 minutes before.

• Until you click Go live, they see "Starting soon" and wait. They join the moment you go live.

• People who aren't signed in see Sign in to join first. After signing in, they land back on the link.

• Join live from 15 minutes before the start until an hour after the end. For a cohort, only buyers in it can join.

• Your cameras with name tags, or your screen share in the layout you picked, and a chat beside it.

• Reactions on any chat message. Hover a message and click the smile to add one.

• Replies in a thread. Hover a message and click reply. The chat shows how many replies it has.

• A cohort session's question thread, one click away.

• Your offer bar, when you show one. Its button opens the offer in a new tab.

• Raise hand when you've turned raised hands on. If you invite them on stage, they pick Join stage or Not now.

• On the Eden iPhone and Android apps, Join live opens the session in an in-app browser. They sign in there the first time.

• After the call, Watch plays the recording.

Where the recording goes

• Live rooms are recorded unless you switched Record this session off. Change it any time before you go live with ⋯ → Edit. Cohort sessions are always recorded.

• It saves as a video on a Live recordings board in your workspace.

• Buyers in that cohort, or anyone with a live room's link, can watch it while you're on a selling plan.

• Your product's AI learns from it after your next publish.

• Deleting the video removes it for buyers too. Eden asks first.

• One live hour is one hour live with up to 100 people watching. A 1-hour call with 30 people uses about 20 minutes.

• Hours are checked when you go live, so a call is never cut short.
