How Eden keeps your emails out of spam
Everything Eden does so your store emails land in the inbox, before you send, while you write, and after they go out.
Eden handles the technical side for you. Your emails are signed the way Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook require, bad addresses come off your list on their own, and we watch delivery around the clock. Your part is emailing people who asked to hear from you, and writing emails they want to open.
Set up before your first send
| What | What it does |
|---|---|
| SPF, DKIM, and DMARC | Prove the email really came from Eden. Gmail, Yahoo, and Outlook require all three for bulk email. |
| One-click unsubscribe | Gmail and Yahoo show an Unsubscribe button next to your name. People who use it never get another email. |
| Footer | Every email ends with why they get it, an unsubscribe link, and your mailing address. |
| Plain-text copy | Every email also goes out as plain text, which some inboxes and spam filters read. |
| Our own link address | Link clicks are counted through Eden's own address, not one shared with other email services. |
| No short links | bit.ly and other short links are swapped for the full address when the email sends. |
While you write
Inbox check under every email flags what could send it to spam, get it cut off, or make it slow to open: spam words, a subject that's too long or in capitals, emails over Gmail's 102 KB cut-off, images over 1 MB, and links that look like tricks. A broadcast with warnings says so again before you send. See Check your email lands in the inbox.
When it sends
- Uploaded addresses are checked first. Ones that would bounce are skipped and show as Bad address in Contacts.
- Quiet people are skipped. Broadcasts leave out people who haven't opened or clicked in 6 months, unless you tick Include quiet people.
- Your first big send goes in steps. 500 emails, then 5,000 about an hour later, then everyone else about 30 minutes after that, once bounces and spam reports look fine. This happens once.
After it sends
- Bounces and spam reports come off your list right away. That address never gets another email from you.
- You see your numbers. The Delivery health card on Broadcasts shows your bounce and spam report rates for the last 7 days against the lines where we pause.
- You hear from us early. If you get close to a line, a yellow banner shows your numbers and what helps, and we email you.
- Careless senders get stopped. Every store is watched and paused on its own, so one bad list can't drag down everyone else's emails.
- We watch all of Eden. We check delivery across every store every few minutes, day and night.
Our goal
Our goal is perfect deliverability: every email you send, in the inbox. No email tool can promise that, because Gmail, Outlook, and Yahoo decide, mostly from how your readers react. So we handle everything on our side and keep improving it, and every fix reaches every store at once.
If you want a sending reputation that is only yours, send from your own domain. Needs Pro or higher.
