Client dashboard
Give each client a page to approve posts and docs, read a weekly or monthly report, and connect their own social accounts.
Switch to the client's brand and click the square Client dashboard button next to the brand switcher in the sidebar. Open Manage, type the client's email, and click Invite. Needs Team.
Open a client's dashboard
Any of these opens it:
- Sidebar: the square button next to the brand switcher, or the same button on a brand's row in the switcher list.
- Home: in the brand, click Client dashboard at the top, next to the gear.
- Settings → Team → Brands: click Dashboard on the brand.
- Settings → Workspace (while in the brand): Client dashboard → Open dashboard.
You see what your client sees, plus a Manage tab only you get. To check their view, click Preview as client at the top. Buttons don't work in the preview. Click Exit preview to go back.
Only see three tabs and no Manage? You're in the client's view, maybe through the password link. Click On the agency team? Sign in to manage at the bottom of the page.
Let your client in
In Manage, pick one way or both:
| Way | How | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| People | Type their email and click Invite. They get an email and sign in with a code. | Clients who will comment |
| Password link | Pick a password (6+ characters), click Turn on link, then Copy the link. | Clients who won't sign in |
- People are free and can't see anything else in the workspace.
- Link visitors type their name, so you know who approved.
- Send the password by text, not in the same email as the link.
- Change password or Turn off locks out everyone using the old one.
What your client sees
| Tab | What's there |
|---|---|
| To approve | Posts, planner items, boards, and docs you sent. They click Approve or Ask for changes. |
| Report | Views, engagement, posts, and new followers for a week or month, the best post, and what's coming up. |
| Accounts | Connect accounts to log into their own Instagram, TikTok, and more. You never see their passwords. |
Send posts for sign-off
- 01
Pick the posts
On To approve, click Send posts and pick drafts or scheduled posts. Or in the scheduler, open a post's menu and click Send for sign-off.
- 02
Your client decides
They get one email for the batch. Each post shows as it will look.
- 03
You hear back
You get an email when they approve or ask for changes. Their note shows on the post.
Approving doesn't schedule a post. You still schedule it as normal. If you edit a post after they approve it, it shows Edited since it was sent, so send it again for a new yes.
Send a board, doc, or video for sign-off
On To approve, click Send a board, doc, or video and pick a board, doc, table, or video. Eden turns on Anyone with the link can comment for it, so your client can open it, comment, and approve from the dashboard. A video opens in the review player, where they can leave comments at exact moments and draw on the frame.
Password-link visitors can comment too, under the name they typed. Only people you invite can edit or delete their comments.
Send a planner item for sign-off
Open the item in Planner, click Send for review, pick Client, and click Send. Under What to send, untick anything they shouldn't see. Your client sees the plan, the pictures, and each post in one card, and opens the script, research board, and docs from it. If they ask for changes, the item moves back one stage with their note as a comment. See Review and approve content.
Choose what your client sees
At the top of Manage, under What your client sees, turn each tab on or off:
- To approve: turn it off if this client doesn't sign off on work. This also turns off Posts need sign-off.
- Report: turning it off also stops report emails.
- Accounts: turn it off if you connect their accounts yourself.
One tab always stays on. You still see every tab, with a note on the ones your client can't see.
Make posts wait for a yes
Under To approve, turn on Posts need sign-off. A scheduled post only goes out if your client approved that exact version. If not, it moves back to Drafts and nothing is posted. Off by default.
In the scheduler, each post shows where it stands, like Waiting on client or Client approved. When sign-off is on, a Won't post without your client's OK box lists the posts in the next 48 hours that still need a yes.
Report emails
Open Report and find Report emails. Emails go out from your agency's name.
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Every Monday | Last week's report, on Monday (US morning). On by default. |
| First of the month | Last month's report, on the 1st. |
| Off | No automatic emails. |
| Who gets it | Tick the people who get it. Everyone under People is ticked to start. |
| Copy to my team | Your agency's team gets a copy too. |
Click Send a test to me to see the next email before your client does. Only you get it.
To send one any time, pick a week or month at the top of Report and click Email this report now. Write a note in the box under the numbers and click Save note. It shows on the report and in the email.
