beehiiv publishes an MCP server, so an AI assistant can read your posts, subscriber growth, open and click performance, and segments, and build segments when you ask. For a newsletter operator that turns the weekly "what worked?" from a spreadsheet chore into one question, and the next issue into a draft that starts from evidence. Here is what it reaches, what to ask, and how to connect it to Eden.

What an AI can reach in beehiiv
- Posts. Every issue you have sent, with its subject line and performance.
- Subscribers and growth. How the list moved, week by week.
- Opens and clicks. Per post, which is what makes post-mortems possible.
- Segments. Reading existing segments and building new ones from behaviour.
The asks worth trying first
"Which posts got the most clicks this month, and what do they have in common?" The AI has the subject lines, the send dates, and the click rates in front of it, so the answer is a pattern rather than a table.
"What should next week's post be about?" Ask this after the first question and it reasons from your own winners. Ask it inside a workspace that also holds your saved research and your voice, and the answer comes back as a draft in your style.
"Build a segment of readers who opened the last three issues but never clicked." A behavioural segment in one sentence, ready for a different kind of send.
"Where did the last big subscriber jump come from?" Growth spikes usually trace to one issue or one external mention. The AI can line the dates up.
Connecting beehiiv to Eden
- Open Settings → Connectors and click Sign in on beehiiv. Approve the access in the window that opens.
- Eden lists the tools it found. They are live in every chat in the workspace.
- Check one number you already know, like last issue's open rate, to confirm the right publication is connected.
Pause, switch off individual tools, or remove the connection any time under Settings → Connectors. The connectors help article has the details.
Put the post-mortem on a routine
Eden's routines run a prompt on a schedule and email you the result:
- After every send. "Every Thursday at 9am, compare yesterday's beehiiv post to the last eight on opens and clicks. What worked, what did not, and two subject line ideas for next week in my voice."
- Growth recap. "Every Monday, report subscriber growth for the week versus the four before it, and name the post or day that drove the biggest change."
Tell the routine to save each recap to a note and you have a running log of what your readers respond to.
beehiiv with the rest of the stack
