How to take paid bookings on Google Calendar (2026)
Take paid bookings on Google Calendar with Stripe: which plans allow it, how to set it up, its limits, and how it compares with Calendly, Cal.com, and Eden.
Yes, Google Calendar can take paid bookings. Connect Stripe in Settings → General → Appointment schedules, then tick Require payment when booking on an appointment schedule. It only works on some paid Google plans: Workspace Individual, Business Standard or Plus, Enterprise Standard or Plus, Education, and Nonprofits. It doesn't work on a free Google account, Business Starter, or Google One. Each booking is paid on its own, so it suits single calls, not packages of calls.
This guide is for coaches, consultants, and creators who want people to pay when they book time. Full disclosure: we make Eden, which is one of the tools compared below. Google, Calendly, and Cal.com details were checked on each company's own site and help center in September 2026.
Which Google plans can take paid bookings?
Google calls this feature "paid appointment bookings." It's part of the premium features for appointment schedules. Here's what Google's plan comparison shows:
| Google plan | Booking pages | Take payments |
|---|---|---|
| Free personal Google account | One booking page | No |
| Workspace Business Starter | One booking page | No |
| Google One Premium, Google AI Pro or Ultra | More than one | No |
| Workspace Individual | More than one | Yes |
| Workspace Business Standard or Plus | More than one | Yes |
| Workspace Enterprise Standard or Plus | More than one | Yes |
| Workspace Education and Nonprofits | More than one | Yes |
On Workspace Frontline, Essentials, or older Workspace plans, you can't create appointment schedules at all.
For a solo coach starting fresh, Google's page for individuals points to Business Standard: $14 a month on a yearly plan, or $16.80 a month billed monthly. If your Workspace is run by a company, your admin controls whether paid bookings are turned on.
Google doesn't charge a platform fee on these payments. Stripe's normal card fee applies (2.9% + 30¢ per US card, from Stripe's pricing page).
How to set it up
You need a computer. Google says you can't create appointment schedules in the Calendar phone apps.
- Connect Stripe. In Google Calendar, click Settings, then General → Appointment schedules, and click Connect Stripe. You can make a new Stripe account from here.
- Create an appointment schedule. Click Create → Appointment schedule. Set the title, length, and your weekly hours.
- Set your booking rules. Under the scheduling window, set how far ahead people can book and how much notice you need. Under booked appointment settings, add buffer time and a maximum number of bookings per day.
- Pick how you meet. Choose Google Meet video conferencing, in person, or phone.
- Add booking form questions. Name and email are required. Click Add an item for more.
- Turn on payment. Open Payments & cancellation policy, tick Require payment when booking, and enter the price and currency. Add your cancellation policy. It shows on the booking form and in reminder emails.
- Save and share the booking page link.
When someone picks a time, they pay through Stripe to finish the booking. Google's steps are in its help article on requiring payments for appointments.
What Google Calendar paid bookings can't do
It's a clean, cheap option if you already pay for Workspace. But know the limits before you build on it:
- One payment per booking. Each appointment is paid on its own when it's booked. Google's help pages describe no way to sell a bundle of calls or a monthly plan.
- No automatic refunds. If you or the client cancels, Google doesn't refund anything. You refund by hand in your Stripe dashboard.
- Only card, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. No PayPal or bank transfer.
- No client space. No place for notes, files, recordings, or calls left. The booking lands on your calendar, and that's it.
- Reminder text is fixed. You can send up to 5 reminders, but you can't edit the reminder email text.
- Default 4-hour lead time. New schedules block same-day bookings closer than 4 hours until you change it.
Calendly and Cal.com paid bookings
The two best-known schedulers also take payments.
Calendly collects payments through Stripe or PayPal on its paid plans. The free plan can't take payments. Standard is $10 per seat a month billed yearly, and Teams is $16. Calendly's pricing page also lists meeting packages for prepaid sessions, payment links, invoices, and coupon codes on paid plans. Money goes straight to your Stripe or PayPal account, and Calendly says refunds are given in Stripe or PayPal, not in Calendly.
Cal.com takes Stripe and PayPal payments on its free plan. You install the Stripe app, open an event type, and set the price. Paid teams plans start at $12 per user a month billed yearly.

Which one should you pick?
- Choose Google Calendar if you already pay for Business Standard (or another eligible plan) and you only sell single calls.
- Choose Cal.com if you want paid single calls for free, with PayPal as an option.
- Choose Calendly if you want prepaid meeting packages, invoices, and coupon codes inside a scheduler.
- Choose Eden if you sell coaching as a product: packages or monthly coaching, intake, a space for each client, and a sales page next to your courses and downloads.
How to take paid bookings with Eden
Eden works the other way around. People pay for a coaching product first, then book the calls they've paid for, right on your Google Calendar.
- Connect Google Calendar. Go to Your store → Integrations → Scheduling and click Connect Google Calendar.
- Pick your calendars. Tick the calendars Eden should check for conflicts, and pick where new calls go.
- Make a coaching product. Your store → Products → New product → Coaching. Set a one-time price or a monthly membership.
- Set the calls. On the Coaching step, set Calls included (a number, Unlimited, or counted Each month on a membership), the call length, and how long coaching lasts.
- Turn on Eden scheduling. Set How clients book to Eden scheduling, then fill in Your hours and Booking rules: minimum notice, booking window, gap between calls, most calls in a day, and how late clients can move or cancel.
Clients click Book a call in their coaching, pick an open time, and the call lands on your calendar with a Google Meet link. Google Calendar sends them the invite. They can move or cancel it themselves within your rules. If you move or delete the event in Google Calendar, Eden updates the call. Eden only checks your other events for busy times and never sees their titles or details.
Every client also gets a space with calls left, upcoming calls, recordings, and notes you share, plus an AI that knows your method between calls. You can add intake questions and keep Book locked until they answer. Prefer Calendly or Cal.com? Paste that link instead, or connect it so calls show up on the right client.
Where Eden falls short: it isn't a public "book any time" page for strangers. Booking is for people who've bought. Eden takes 5% per sale on top of the $29 Starter plan, and it has no contracts or invoices. Full steps are in take bookings on your Google Calendar and sell coaching. The tour is on the Eden coaching page.
