Build a voice Custom AI

Turn your writing style into a Custom AI that drafts in your cadence, and make it your default voice in every chat if you want.

You'll end up with a Custom AI that writes like you. Open Custom AI, click +, pick Build a Voice, and give it a few pieces of your best writing.

Build it

    Start the voice builder

    Open Custom AI in the sidebar. Click +, then Build a Voice.

  2. 02

    Give it your writing

    Paste samples, @ mention notes in your workspace, or name your own profile. No samples? It can interview you instead.

  3. 03

    Say what it's for

    Tell it to write, to critique, or both.

  4. 04

    Save it

    Review the card, click Create Custom AI, then Create.

  5. 05

    Fix what reads wrong

    Your voice notes live in Configure → Instructions. Edit a line there and the next draft follows it.

What to put in

If you write very differently in two places, like a newsletter and X, build two voices.

Use it

  • Draft: "Write a post about why I quit daily posting."
  • Rewrite: paste a rough draft and ask for a pass in your voice.
  • Use it everywhere: turn on Your writing voice on the Configure tab, or in Settings → Personalization. Every chat you start then drafts in this voice. The Writing voice switch in the chat + menu pauses it. See set a Custom AI as your writing voice.
