Stripe MCP: ask your revenue questions in plain English
What Stripe's MCP server lets an AI read (customers, subscriptions, products, payments, revenue), the Monday questions it answers in one message, and how to connect Stripe to Eden and put the revenue recap on a routine.
Stripe's MCP server lets an AI assistant read your customers, subscriptions, products, payments, and revenue. For a creator business that means the Monday dashboard tour becomes one question: "how much came in this week, from what, and what churned?" Here is what the server reaches, the asks that matter, and how to connect Stripe to Eden so the answer arrives next to everything else you run.
Full disclosure: we make Eden. The first two sections apply to any MCP client.
What an AI can reach in Stripe
- Customers. Who pays you, since when, and on what.
- Subscriptions. Active, trialing, cancelled, and what changed recently.
- Products and prices. What you sell and at which price points.
- Payments and revenue. What came in, when, and from which product.
Stripe's tools are read-heavy by design, which suits a connector: the AI reports and reasons, and you keep the actions in Stripe's own dashboard.
The questions it answers in one message
"How much did we bring in this week versus last, by product?" The classic Monday number, without exporting anything.
"Which subscriptions cancelled in the last 30 days, and how long had each been active?" Churn by tenure tells you whether the problem is onboarding or fatigue.
"Which price point is growing fastest?" Useful before you touch pricing.
"Who upgraded after the launch email?" This one needs Stripe and your newsletter in the same place. Connected together, the AI can line up the send date against the subscription changes.
Connecting Stripe to Eden
- Open Settings → Connectors and click Sign in on Stripe. Approve the access in the window that opens.
- Eden lists the tools it found. They are live in every chat in the workspace right away.
- Ask for a number you already know, like last month's revenue, to confirm the right account is connected.
Every tool can be switched off, and the connection can be paused or removed under Settings → Connectors. Removing it deletes the stored sign-in immediately. Details in the connectors help article.
The revenue recap that writes itself
Eden's routines run a prompt on a schedule and email you the result. The one most creators set up first:
Every Monday at 7am, summarize Stripe revenue for last week versus the week before, by product. List new and cancelled subscriptions with tenure. End with the one thing I should look at.
Add Whop or Kajabi to the same workspace and the recap covers memberships and course sales too. Add Kit or beehiiv and it can say which newsletter preceded the churn. Each run lands in a fresh chat, and the routine can save the recap to a table so the weeks line up.
Stripe is the scoreboard, the rest is the game
Revenue tells you what happened. The newsletter, the community, and the content tell you why. The full guide covers connecting the whole creator stack so one chat can answer both.
