Webflow MCP: update your site in a sentence

What Webflow's MCP server lets an AI read and do (sites, CMS collections, pages), the asks that turn site edits into one message, and how to connect Webflow to Eden so a brief in Notion can become a live page and a newsletter post in one pass.

Webflow publishes an MCP server, so an AI assistant can read and update your sites, CMS collections, and pages. For a creator whose site is the storefront, that turns "update the pricing page with the new offer" from a ticket into a sentence. Here is what the server reaches, the asks worth trying, and how to connect Webflow to Eden so site changes happen in the same chat as the rest of your business.

Full disclosure: we make Eden. The first two sections apply to any MCP client.

What an AI can reach in Webflow

  • Sites. Which sites the connection can see and their settings.
  • CMS collections and items. Blog posts, testimonials, products, or whatever your collections hold. Reading, creating, and updating items.
  • Pages. Reading page content and making edits.

Webflow's server includes tools that write to a live site. Start with the writes switched off, confirm the reads land on the right site, then turn them on.

The asks that pay for themselves

"Update the pricing page with the new offer: $49 a month, three seats, annual at $490." The change you would otherwise open the Designer for.

"Publish yesterday's newsletter as a blog post in the Articles collection, with the same title and a two-line summary." Repurposing, done where it lands.

"List the CMS items in Testimonials that mention the course, and draft three more from this week's replies." Reads and drafts in one message.

"Which blog posts have not been updated in a year?" Content maintenance, without a spreadsheet.

Connecting Webflow to Eden

  1. Open Settings → Connectors and click Sign in on Webflow. Choose the site or sites to grant access to, and approve.
  2. Eden lists the tools it found. They are live in every chat in the workspace right away.
  3. Ask for something you know, like the number of items in your blog collection, to confirm the right site is connected.

Switch off individual tools, pause, or remove the connection under Settings → Connectors. Details in the connectors help article.

Put site upkeep on a routine

Eden's routines run a prompt on a schedule and email you the result:

  • Weekly content sync. "Every Friday at 4pm, find this week's newsletter posts and create a matching draft in the Webflow Articles collection for each, unpublished, for my review."
  • Stale page check. "On the first of each month, list Webflow pages and CMS items not updated in 180 days, and suggest which three to refresh first."

Each run lands in a fresh chat with the result waiting.

Webflow with the rest of the stack

The brief lives in Notion, the announcement goes out in Kit or beehiiv, the page changes in Webflow. Connected in one workspace, that is one ask: "take the launch brief from Notion, update the offer page in Webflow, and draft the announcement email." The full guide covers connecting the whole creator stack.
