Folders, boards, and sections
Group boards into folders in the sidebar, and group items inside one board with sections.
Folders group boards in the sidebar. Sections group items inside one board. To make a folder, hover Boards in the sidebar, click +, and pick New folder.

Make a folder

Open the create menu
Hover the Boards heading in the sidebar and click +. Or right-click an empty spot in the sidebar.

Pick New folder
Choose New folder, type a name, and click Create.

Fill it
Drag boards onto the folder. Or hover the folder, click its +, and pick New board.
Put a folder inside a folder
Folders nest one level deep.
- Right-click a folder and pick New folder inside.
- Or drag a folder onto another folder at the top level.
- A sub-folder holds boards only. It can't hold another folder.
Rename or delete a folder
Right-click the folder and pick Rename or Delete folder.
Pin the boards you open every day
Right-click a board and pick Pin to top. It shows under Pinned at the top of the sidebar. Pick Unpin to remove it.
Folder or section?
- Different projects on one board? Split them into separate boards, then group them in a folder.
- Different stages or kinds of one project? Keep one board and add sections.
In a team workspace, folders under Team are shared with your team. See Team and Private boards.

Make a board, add your first items, and pick Grid, List, or Freeform view.
Using sections to organize a board
Split one board into sections, then click a section chip to see just those items.
Team and private boards
In a workspace with more than one member, Private boards stay yours and Team boards are shared. Control who can view, edit, or even see each Team board.
