Set up Eden for your agency
A start-to-finish guide for agencies and freelancers running content for clients — one workspace per client, shared credits and seats, separate social accounts, and your Custom AIs everywhere.
Running content for clients means two jobs at once: keeping each client's work — and eyes — completely separate, while your own tools, team, and billing stay in one place. This guide sets that up end to end on Studio: one private workspace per client, one bill, one credit pool, and your Custom AIs copied wherever you work.
First, pick your separation level
Eden gives you two ways to keep clients apart. Most agencies end up using both:
- Brands separate calendars inside one workspace. Each brand has its own connected social accounts, schedules, and queue. Right when only you ever log in and clients just receive the output. See manage multiple brands.
- Workspaces on your plan separate everything — boards, notes, files, chats, members, and accounts. Right when the client (or a contractor) logs in: they see their workspace and nothing else. That's the setup this guide builds.
A good default: a workspace per client you collaborate with, brands for the ones you simply post for.
Step 1 — Create a workspace per client
- 01
Open the workspace menu
Click your workspace name in the top left and choose New workspace.
- 02
Choose On your plan
Name it after the client and pick On your plan so it shares your credits, seats, and brands. Separate workspace would instead create an independent workspace on its own Free plan — not what you want for a client you're running on your subscription.
Your main workspace stays yours: your swipe files, your internal boards, your team's chatter. Client work lives in the client's workspace.
Step 2 — Add your team and your clients
Open Settings → Workspace on your main workspace and find the Workspaces on your plan section. It lists every client workspace and who has access, so you manage everyone from one screen:
- Your team: quick-add chips show your existing teammates on every workspace they're not in yet — one click adds them. The same person across all your workspaces uses one seat.
- The client: invite them by email on their workspace's row. If they already use Eden they're added instantly; otherwise they get an invite email. A client in only their own workspace uses one seat and sees nothing outside it.
Out of seats? Add one for $15/month under Settings → Members.
Step 3 — Connect each client's social accounts
Social accounts connect inside the client's workspace: switch to it, open Settings → Social accounts, and connect their X, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, or Substack. See connect your social accounts.
Two things to know:
- Accounts connected in one workspace never appear in another — exactly what you want for clients.
- Your plan's 10 brand slots are shared across every workspace on the plan. A client workspace that publishes to one set of accounts typically uses one brand slot.
Step 4 — Copy your Custom AIs into each client workspace
Your best tools shouldn't be rebuilt per client. Any Custom AI you own can be copied straight into another of your workspaces — no public sharing needed:
- 01
Open Custom AI in your main workspace
Find the Custom AI you want the client team to use.
- 02
Copy it over
Open the card's ⋯ menu, choose Copy to workspace, and pick the client workspace. The copy carries the instructions, knowledge sources, and routines.
- 03
Tune it for the client
In the client workspace, edit the copy — swap in the client's voice notes, example posts, and creators. Each client's version evolves independently.
Chats work the same way: right-click a chat in the sidebar and choose Copy to workspace to bring a conversation (a strategy thread, a research session) into the client's space. Boards do too: right-click a board and choose Duplicate to workspace.
Step 5 — Know how billing behaves
- One bill. Client workspaces have no billing of their own; their Billing page points at your main workspace.
- One credit pool. Work in any workspace draws from your plan's shared credits. Usage is tracked per workspace, so you can see which client consumes what.
- Add-ons prorate to the day. Extra workspaces ($9/month), brands ($7/month), and seats ($15/month) can be added or removed anytime; every charge is previewed before you confirm.
- If a client leaves, remove their members from the workspace and keep the workspace (and its history) or let it sit idle — it costs nothing extra unless it's a paid add-on slot you want to free up.
What your client sees
A client invited to their workspace gets a normal Eden workspace: the boards, notes, chats, and scheduled posts inside it — nothing else. They can't see your other clients, your main workspace, your billing, or how many credits anything used. To them, it's simply their content workspace, run by you.
Where to go next
- The full reference for plan workspaces: run multiple workspaces on one plan.
- Lighter-weight separation for post-only clients: manage multiple brands.
- How the shared meter works: how credits work.
Run multiple workspaces on one plan
On Studio, create separate, private workspaces for each client, brand, or project — all on one bill, sharing your plan's credits, seats, and brands. 5 included, more for $9/month.
Manage multiple brands
On Pro and Studio, run several brands or clients from one workspace, each with its own connected accounts, schedules, and queue. Switch between them from the scheduler.
Plans, seats, and what each tier includes
Eden has a permanent Free tier and five paid tiers. Here is what each includes, including the 50 AI credits that come with Free.
Connect your social accounts
