Add files from Google Drive

Post reels and photos straight from Google Drive, and link Drive files and folders in tables.

·2 min read

In the post editor, click the Google Drive icon next to the paperclip, pick your files, and they attach to the post. In a table, hover a link cell and click the same icon to link a Drive file or folder.

Add a reel or photo to a post

  1. 01

    Open the picker

In the post editor, click the Google Drive icon next to the paperclip (Add from Google Drive).

  2. 02

    Sign in once

The first time, Google asks you to sign in and allow Eden. Eden only sees the files you pick.

  3. 03

    Pick your files

Choose one or more files and click Select. They attach to the post like any upload.

Eden keeps a copy of each file you pick, so the post still goes out if you move or delete it in Drive later.

What you can post from Drive

WorksDoesn't work
JPG, PNG, WebP, GIFGoogle Docs, Sheets, and Slides
MP4, MOV, WebM videos up to 5 GBHEIC photos (export as JPG first)
PDFs (for LinkedIn carousels)
  1. Hover a cell in a URL column.
  2. Click the Google Drive icon (Pick from Google Drive).
  3. Pick a file or folder. The cell shows a chip like Drive folder or Google Doc. Click it to open it in Drive.

You can also paste any Drive link into a URL cell. It shows the same chip.

On your phone

Tap the paperclip in the post editor, then Files. Your phone's file picker opens. Google Drive shows up there when the Drive app is installed.

If something's not working

  • "Pick it again": Eden lost access to that file. Open the picker and pick it again.
  • Nothing happens when you click the icon: your browser blocked Google's pop-up. Allow pop-ups for app.eden.so and try again.
