Linktree is the better pick if you mostly share links: it's free, and paid plans start at $8 a month. Stan Store is the better pick if you sell: it costs $29 or $99 a month but takes 0% of your sales, while Linktree takes 12% on its free plan and 9% on Starter and Pro. Once you sell about $240 a month, Stan's $29 plan costs less than Linktree's free one. The exception is Linktree Premium ($35, 0% fee), which is close to Stan on cost. If you want a free page now and a store later, Eden is a third option.

Full disclosure: we make Eden, which we cover as a third option at the end. Stan's numbers come from its pricing blog and help center. Linktree's come from its pricing page and help center. All were checked in September 2026. Card processing (usually 2.9% + 30¢ per US sale) applies on all three and is left out of the fee numbers.

The short read: Stan is a store that lives in your bio. Linktree is a link page that added selling later. Both can sell the same basic things, but they charge for it in opposite ways.

Price and fees

Stan charges a flat monthly price and nothing per sale. Creator is $29 a month and Creator Pro is $99. There's a 14-day free trial but no free plan. Stripe still takes 2.9% + 30¢ per US card sale, and Stan's help center lists a payout fee of 0.25% + 25¢ (at least $1) each time you cash out. Full detail in Stan Store fees.

Linktree is cheap or free to start, then takes a cut when you sell. From its pricing page, digital products and courses cost:

Linktree planMonthlyBilled yearlyFee on digital products and courses
Free$0$012%
Starter$8$6/mo9%
Pro$15$12/mo9%
Premium$35$30/mo0%

Two more Linktree rules: paid digital products only work in selected countries, and prices must fall between $1 and $10,000.

The break-even math

Here's what each plan costs you per month at different sales levels. This is the plan price plus the platform's cut. Processing is the same everywhere, so it's left out.

Monthly salesLinktree FreeLinktree StarterLinktree ProLinktree PremiumStan CreatorStan Pro
$100$12$17$24$35$29$99
$500$60$53$60$35$29$99
$1,000$120$98$105$35$29$99
$3,000$360$278$285$35$29$99

Where the lines cross:

  • Stan Creator beats Linktree Free once you sell about $242 a month ($29 ÷ 12%).
  • Stan Creator beats Linktree Starter at about $233 a month, and Linktree Pro at about $156.
  • Stan Creator always beats Linktree Premium, but only by $6 a month.
  • Stan Creator Pro beats Linktree Free at about $825 a month, and Linktree Pro at about $933.

So if you sell less than about $150 a month, Linktree is cheaper. Above about $250, Linktree's cut on the free, Starter, and Pro plans costs more than Stan. And if you're on Linktree and selling well, Premium removes the fee for $35.

What you can sell

Stan is built around products. On the $29 plan you get digital downloads, a course builder with no course limit, coaching calls with a booking calendar, memberships, and community. Discount codes, upsells, order bumps, funnels, affiliates, and Afterpay and Klarna need the $99 Creator Pro plan.

Linktree can sell digital products, courses (built on Kajabi), and paid bookings. It also has earning options Stan doesn't: brand deals through sponsored links and an affiliate shop, both US only. Bookings come on every plan, check your Google Calendar for conflicts, and add Google Meet links.

Email and analytics

Stan collects emails on Creator with lead magnets. Sending broadcasts and automated email flows to that list needs Creator Pro. Store and product analytics come on Creator, and ad pixels for Meta, Google, TikTok, and Pinterest come on Pro.

Linktree collects emails and phone numbers. Sending them to your mailing list tool starts on Pro. Analytics climb with the plan: basic on Starter, advanced on Pro, and advanced with data export on Premium.

Look and branding

Stan gives you 11 templates built around selling, with your products front and center.

Linktree is more flexible for plain link pages. Custom themes, fonts, and layouts arrive on Pro, and that's also the plan that removes Linktree branding.

Which one should you pick?

  • Choose Linktree if you mostly share links, sell little or nothing yet, or earn from brand deals and affiliate links.
  • Choose Linktree Premium if you already love Linktree and sell enough that 9% hurts. $35 a month for 0% is fair.
  • Choose Stan Creator if you sell more than about $250 a month in downloads, courses, or coaching and want a store first, links second.
  • Choose Stan Creator Pro if you need discount codes, upsells, email broadcasts, or affiliates and sell enough to justify $99.

A third option: Eden

Eden sits between the two. Like Linktree, the page is free. Like Stan, there's a real store behind it.

  • A free page on every plan at your-handle.eden.so, with seven looks, links, videos, an email box, testimonials, and your products. The small "Built on Eden" badge can be turned off on any plan. See your creator page.
  • Selling starts at $29 a month (Starter), plus 5% per sale. Discount codes, order bumps, and timed sales are on that plan. Pro at $79 adds up to 3 one-click upsells, affiliates, and Meta Pixel tracking. Stan puts most of these on $99.
  • Courses, cohorts, downloads, memberships, and bundles.
  • Coaching with applications for high-ticket offers, call packages, booking on your Google Calendar with Google Meet links, a private space for each client, and an AI clients can use between calls.
  • Custom AI products: an AI trained on your material that buyers chat with. Neither Stan nor Linktree sells this.
  • Signups go to your list. Emails from your page can go to Kit, beehiiv, GoHighLevel, or Substack.

Where Eden falls short, honestly:

  • Stan Creator is cheaper per sale at every level. Both cost $29, and Stan takes 0% where Eden takes 5%.
  • Against Stan Creator Pro, Eden Pro ($79 plus 5%) costs less until you sell about $400 a month. Against Linktree Free, Eden Starter costs less once you pass about $414 a month.
  • There's no custom domain, and page analytics are simple: views for 7 and 30 days plus your top clicked blocks.
  • Eden isn't a merchant of record, so sales tax is yours to handle (true of Stan and Linktree too).

How to set up your page on Eden

  1. Sign up at app.eden.so and claim your handle.
  2. Open Your store → Storefront and click Edit page.
  3. Add your photo, bio, and social links, and pick a look.
  4. Add blocks: links, a video, an email box, or your products.
  5. Click Save, then paste your page link into your bio.

When you're ready to sell, build the product on any plan and upgrade to Starter to publish it. It shows up on your page on its own.
