A Custom AI is an AI you set up once: a name, instructions, and the knowledge it should work from. Every chat with it starts in that context, so you never re-explain yourself.
What's inside one

Why it gives better answers
It only looks at the material you picked. When you send a message, it pulls in the sources that fit your question and leaves the rest out. A narrow set of the right documents beats a big pile of "just in case" ones.
By default it only uses the knowledge you connect. You can widen or narrow that in Configure → Workspace access.
