Find your way around the Custom AI tab

Where your Custom AIs live, how to add ready-made ones, and what each page and button does.

Click Custom AI in the sidebar. My AIs holds the ones in your workspace, Explore AIs has ready-made ones to add, and the + button at the top right builds a new one.

The tabs

Explore AIsReady-made Custom AIs. Browse Featured or a category, filter by platform, and click Add to workspace.

The buttons at the top

  • + opens three ways to build: Build a Custom AI, Build a Voice, or Build from scratch. See create your first Custom AI.
  • Sell an AI (tag icon) picks a Custom AI to turn into a product.
  • AI Studio (expand icon) opens your last-used Custom AI full screen.

On each card

  • Chat starts a conversation. Pick Open chat, Open in pane, or Open full screen.
  • ⋯ has View details, Open in studio, Share, and Copy to workspace.
  • Copy to workspace puts a full copy (instructions, knowledge, and routines) into another workspace you belong to.

Inside a Custom AI

Click a card to open it. The tabs across the top:

  • Overview: what it does, its starters under Try asking, and Start a conversation.
  • Knowledge: the sources it works from. See connect knowledge.
  • Conversations: every chat you've had with it.
  • Configure: name, image, instructions, workspace access, routines, and conversation starters. Changes save on their own.
  • Sell: set it up as a product in your store.

The ⋯ menu at the top has Version history, so you can restore an earlier setup.

Full screen (AI Studio)

Full screen gives you a main view and a side panel.

  • Chat opens first, full width.
  • Open a document from Knowledge and it takes the main view. The chat moves to the side panel.
  • A document the AI writes or cites opens in the side panel, so your chat stays put.
  • Use the swap button at the top of the side panel to make it the main view.
  • On a phone-sized screen, the document fills the screen and the chat slides up over it.
