Building a creator list as a content feed

This article covers creating a list, deciding who belongs in it, and the workflow that makes lists actually useful.

Creating a list

   Open the My lists tab

   Inside Discover, click the My lists tab. Every list you have built lives there.

   Click New list

   At the top of the grid, click New list, type a name, and press Create. Eden opens the empty list so you can add creators next.

   Add creators

   From any creator card (find them via the Creators tab), open Add to list and pick the list. You can also create a list inline from that menu if you are saving someone for the first time. Or use the Add creators button on the list itself — once the list has a couple of members, the dialog suggests creators that fit under More like "your list", so you can fill it out without knowing more names in advance.

   Open the list to see the feed

   Click the list card on the grid. The view shows every recent post from the creators in the list, ranked by outlier multiplier.

Rename or delete a list

   Open the list menu

   On the My lists grid, click the ⋯ menu on a list card. If you are already inside a list, use the same menu in the header next to the creator strip.

   Rename

   Choose Rename, edit the name, and save. The new name shows on the card and anywhere you pick that list from Add to list.

   Delete

   Choose Delete and confirm. Eden removes the list only. Creators stay in any other lists you use, and they still appear under All following if you follow them elsewhere.

Who belongs in a list

Lists work best when the creators inside them have something in common that the list name describes well. Three patterns:

• By niche. "Productivity creators", "Self-improvement YouTubers", "B2B writers on LinkedIn". Read the list when you are working on that niche.
• By format. "Long-form writers", "Short-form video creators", "Newsletter operators". Read the list when you are studying one form.
• By stage. "Creators a tier above me", "Creators at my size". Read the list when you want a benchmark, not a swipe file.

Lists work poorly when the only thing the creators have in common is "I like them". A list of "Everyone I like" mixes too many shapes of work to teach you anything specific.

How to use a list

A few workflows that pay off:

• Daily skim. Open one list at the start of your writing session. Read it for five minutes. Save anything that gives you a "I could do my own version of that" reaction.
• Project research. Build a list specifically for one project (a launch, a product page, a course). Add the 10 creators whose work you want to keep beside you while you build. Delete the list when the project ships.
• Competitive context. A list of three to five creators in your exact lane gives you a clean view of what they are shipping and which of their posts hit. The point is not to copy. The point is to know the field.

List size

Five to fifteen creators is the sweet spot.

• Under five and the list is the same as visiting each profile.
• Over fifteen and the feed reads like Discover, but with worse personalization.

If a list outgrows fifteen, split it. "Productivity creators" turning into "Productivity, X" and "Productivity, YouTube" usually reads better than one list with 25 names.

Lists vs boards

A common confusion worth flagging:

A list does not save items. Closing a list resets it to whatever the creators are posting right now. If you want to keep a post you saw in a list, save it to a board.
