Using the Eden Chrome extension

Save any link, post, or image to a board in one click, add inline Save buttons on social platforms, and open creator research in the sidebar.

The Eden Chrome extension saves anything you're looking at on the web straight onto a board, in one click. It also drops a Save button on social posts and opens creator profiles in a sidebar so you can scan their top-performing content without leaving the page.

Quick start

    Install the extension

    Add Eden from the Chrome Web Store. The Eden icon appears next to the address bar. (Pin it from the puzzle-piece menu so it's always one click away.)

    Connect your account

    Click the Eden icon, then "Connect Eden". Finish signing in on the tab that opens. The extension stores a token locally so it never asks again. Eden never sees your Chrome password.

    Confirm your workspace

    The popup opens on the workspace you were last using in Eden. If you work across more than one workspace, you can switch it right in the popup or in Settings.

    Save your first thing

    Open any page, click the Eden icon, pick a board in "Save to", and click Save. That's the whole loop.

What you can do with it

  • Save the current page from the toolbar popup to any board.
  • Save individual posts with an inline Save button that appears on X, YouTube, Instagram, and Substack.
  • Right-click to save a specific link or image without opening the popup.
  • Open creator research straight from a profile using the "View in Eden" pill.
  • Keep a sidebar open next to your tabs to see recent saves and jump back into Eden.

Saving from the toolbar popup

Click the Eden icon on any page and the popup opens with the page already filled in. From there you can:

  • Edit the title if you want a custom label instead of the page's own title.
  • Pick a board in the "Save to" dropdown. Boards are listed with the ones you've touched most recently first, so your active project is usually right at the top. When you have a lot of boards, a search box appears at the top of the list so you can type to filter.
  • Create a board on the spot with the "+ New" button next to the dropdown.
  • Click Save.

The dropdown remembers the board you saved to last, so a repeat save into the same project stays one click.

The inline Save button on social posts

On X, YouTube, Instagram, and Substack, Eden adds a small Save button next to each post's own actions (near the like, comment, and share controls). Click it and the toolbar popup opens with that exact post prefilled, so you can confirm the board and save without copying a URL.

Right-click menu

Right-click a link, an image, or empty page space and the Eden menu offers:

  • Save link to Eden saves the link under your cursor, or the current page if you right-clicked empty space.
  • Save image to Eden saves the image under your cursor.

Either one opens the popup so you can confirm the destination board before saving.

Creator profiles and the sidebar

On a creator's profile (X, YouTube, Instagram, Substack, LinkedIn) Eden shows a "View in Eden" pill next to their name. Click it to open the Eden sidebar and see that creator's top-performing content alongside the page you're on.

The sidebar lives next to your browser tabs, so you can compare a creator's strongest posts against their profile, then save the examples you want to study. You can also open the sidebar any time from the right-click menu.

Switching workspaces

The extension saves into one workspace at a time:

  • In the popup, if you belong to more than one workspace, a workspace picker appears above "Save to". Switching it reloads that workspace's boards.
  • In Settings, open the extension's options (right-click the Eden icon and choose the options entry, or open it from Chrome's extensions page) and choose your default workspace there.

Boards belong to a single workspace, so when you switch workspaces the board list changes to that workspace's boards.

What gets saved

What lands on the board depends on what you saved:

  • A link becomes a link card with the title, description, and thumbnail Eden fetches for it.
  • A social post keeps its creator, platform, and any outlier multiplier so it stays useful as a reference later.
  • An image becomes an image item on the board.

Good to know

  • It works in any Chromium browser. Chrome, Edge, Brave, and Arc are all supported. Firefox is not supported yet.
  • Your data stays yours. The extension stores a sign-in token locally in the browser and talks to Eden over Chrome's secure messaging. It never sees your Chrome password.
  • A save can take a moment to appear. Most saves show up on the board instantly. If the board is open in another tab, a fresh save occasionally takes a few seconds to sync across. It will arrive.
  • New saves sit at the front of a board. A freshly saved item lands at the start of the board so it's easy to find, then you can move it wherever it belongs.
  • To sign out, open the extension's Settings and use the sign-out control. That clears the stored token and your saved defaults.
